Final Call for Penn State Whiteout Game, Sept. 27th: Join the FishDuck Group!

Recommended Posts

Oregon is going to have a good team in 2025, and so is Penn State. This will be an epic game played not in November, but late September for a very pleasant experience. This is a "Bucket-List" kind of event for many of us, and I invite all OBD Readers and Members to join us.

We are putting together a group who need tickets, lodging, etc. as NJDuck and I are planning to go, and would love to meet some of you for a memorable experience.

Let me know by replying below or if you like...email me charles@fishduck.com and I'll count you in the group.  We will be in touch on this putting together group arrangements, but we need a final count. Rooms fill up a year ahead of time, and getting there and finding lodging is not easy.

EVERYONE: Put my email address in your Email Address Book so my emails to you do not go to spam.  charles@fishduck.com   (Charles Fischer)

This is open to ALL Duck fans, not just OBD forum members!  If you are a reader here, and follow Our Beloved Ducks, then do join us! You can take your name off, and if you are bringing more than what I have indicated below--let me know.

The list I have from last time is: NJDuck, Charles Fischer, WallaWallaDuck, Jon Joseph, Steven A., DanLduck (2), KCDuck1, (3) chrisjenn99, criticalduck, florida duck, DrJackPlaidPants, Notalot, and Fitnessczar.

Two that emailed me are J. White (2) and Richard Natt. (2)

This is going to be GREAT FUN!

PSA. Keep in mind that most hotels in State College are already sold out for that weekend. Altoona might be the closest place to get a hotel room at a reasonable price.

Pittsburgh is 2.5 hours and Philadelphia is 3 hours depending on where you fly into. A day trip from those two cities might be an option.

I will be driving up to northern MD Friday to stay the night and then driving in on the day of the game.

Altoona has an interesting history. The Pennsylvania Railroad had their shops there, the horseshoe curve was just outside of town, and of course there was Curve beer (there is a new craft brewery making a similarly named beer). image.png.acd329df6d1d269398078741ac5da0fb.png

Charles, I would be interested in tickets (2) but will stay with a friend that lives relatively close to Happy Valley. He is a Penn State fan and also a Duck fan

I would also be interested in whatever the OBD group has plans for preceding the game.
