Jon Joseph Moderator No. 1 Share Posted January 9 Was inviting Bevo to join y'all male bovine excrement, or what? SEC fans unable to root for Texas or Ohio State in Cotton Bowl: Can they both lose? WWW.USATODAY.COM Hardcore SEC fans are faced with a difficult dilemma for the Cotton Bowl. Do they cheer for hated conference rival Texas or Ohio State from Big Ten? Hey Sankey, the invite was a missed-steak! And while you're at it Chief, why not hand Bevo a B12 schedule? Opinion: With light schedule, Texas is quickly making SEC friends - or is that enemies? WWW.USATODAY.COM Texas fans behaving badly overshadows bigger problem: SEC coaches/ADs not happy about Longhorns easy path to league's championship game. GO BUCKS! GO NITS! 30Duck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted January 9 I thought the SEC was 'All for one, one for all' more than any other conference, it's always that way in the rankings, when a loss is always a good loss. Texas is a Newbie, Oklahoma knew its place, except when it lambasted Alabama! But. the SEC would certainly want one of theirs to beat B1G Ohio State, wouldn't they? Sugar Bowl" game, is loyal to its royal self and no one else. Texas leveraged Scott's merger proposal into a $300M Disney Longhorn Network mistake. (And to save face, Larry added CU and Utah and cut USC's preferred payment. This did not have a happy ending for all concerned.) I was far from the only football fan in the preseason who noted the difficulty of UGA, Bama, Oklahoma, etc. schedules, compared to the Texas schedule. And the schedules are the same in 2025! It will be no surprise in 2025 if several SEC PO-contending teams have three losses. It also be no surprise if Texas is again playing in the SEC champ game. The B1G has done a far better job of mixing it up. No Michigan or Ohio State for OBD in 2025. These two and Penn State in 2027. (Get your 2027 tickets now; Ohio State and Penn State trip to Autzen in 2027.) One glaring issue beyond the current B1G schedules formatted through 2028, if the ACC and SEC stay at eight conference games, should the B1G drop a conference game? Come On Bucks! Come on Nits. We need the dues.
