He will join 2023 inductee LaMichael James.

In 2025, 18 former college players were selected.  The original ballot also included Kenjon Barner.  RBs Montee Ball and Steve Slaton are part of the 18.  But, RB guys like Kenjon who also were not:  KiJana Carter, DJ Dozier, Gaston Green, Bryan Hanspard, Garrison Hearst, Craig Heyward, Mark Ingram, Marshawn Lynch.  That's pretty heady company joining Barner on the sidelines this time.

Oregon connected inductees College Football Hall of Fame:

2025:  Haloti Ngata

2023:  LaMichael James

2014:  Mike Bellotti

2007:  Ahmad Rashad (Bobby Moore)

1986:  Mel Renfro

1977:  Len Casanova

1972:  John Beckett

1969:  Johnny Kitzmiller

1966:  Norm Van Brocklin

1954:  Hugo Bezdek

Wow I guess I had no idea he wasn't already in.  A force of nature for sure--nobody could block him, often not even double-teams.

Congrats Haloti, one of my favorite Ducks of all time.

A buddy of mine often asks, when OBD are getting ready to play in a big bowl game, the following question:

If you could take any past Duck and put them on this team for this game, who would it be?

The answer, for both of us, is often Ngata.

Dude not only occupied multiple O-lineman, but still disrupted things all by himself.

LOL. Ngata was asked by a reporter, in college, if there were times that he was not double teamed. He paused briefly and said yes, when I’m being tripled teamed.

He was a force in both college and the NFL. I’m sure you can find quotes from Ray Lewis about how important Ngata was to that championship defense. Well deserved and way overdue.

Hope Ngata returns to Autzen to be celebrated this upcoming season (might be a good time to have some of those big DT recruits on hand!).
