In what was easily the most unbearable watch of the season, the Buckeyes have looked unstoppable from January 1st on, and I expect more of the same in the National Championship game today. January 20Jan 20 Moderator I want the Buckeyes to blow out and blow up the Domers but are the stars aligned otherwise? The luck of the Irish to date has had 4-leaf clover quality to it. Play 4 G5 teams, one-third of your schedule, no problem. You're still in the Playoff mix even though the ACC, your football pinata, and the SEC require its teams to play at least one P4 team out-of-conference. Notre Dame played two true road games in 2024. Notre Dame drew one of the easier paths to the title game, tonight's game will be the 16th and not the 17th game for the Irish by design. The starting quarterbacks for both Georgia P4 teams did not suit up against Notre Dame. ND opened the game up vs. Indiana with a 98-yard TD run and has been futile rushing the ball since. All-American Abdul Carter was blowing up the Domers O before he had to leave the game with an injury. And drawing a Penn State team coached by James Franklin in the semifinal game; well, what went down in the second half was predictable. (And Alex, is that a photo of Marcus vs. Ohio State from 2015 😩 ?) It's MLK Day (rest in peace Noble Sir) and Marcus (Hmmm?) Freeman, hats off to you Marcus, outside of HBCU games, is the first person of color to serve as the head coach in a college championship game. 👌👍❤️ However, I believe the luck of The Irish disappears tonight at the hands of the team with the best roster in college football that has played to its talent in two of its three playoff games (😒) to date and was able to overcome numerous self-inflected wounds in Dallas.
