Every game is a big game in the B1G. Right now the only team that seems to be a lock for a top 4 finish is Michigan State, 7-0 in conference so far. The Ducks have been great, perfect actually, in games away from MKA. Did Bamba have a breakthrough against Washington? Angel? Bittle and Shelstad didn't post their usual numbers.

Minnesota is in 17th place, above Washington. This could be a game for Oregon. as Spartan2785 pointed out, to be efficient the way NET likes against Minnesota.

Annoying to come out like we’re sleepwalking, Minnesota isn’t a good team, have to come out with some intensity

Absolutely right. Considering Minnesota competed for 20 minutes and Oregon for 8, this is a fortunate halftime score. As the broadcasters mentioned, for the opening 12 minutes, Minnesota was moving, Oregon was stiff. Finally, Angel defrosted.

Scouting did indicate that MN wasn't very good from deep, and cooled off as the game went along. As it always goes, the first 4 minutes of the 2nd half are crucial.

This is a horrible loss if we can't pull it out, horrible performance by our stars, so little intensity, lack of precision.  Where is Shelstad, go out and dominate, somebody take charge!!!!!

I say that, and then he hits a three, take that attitude throughout the game, have that every night!!!

So disappointed in this team, it's going to cost them a seed in the tourney, came out unprepared, uninspired, completely unacceptable performance today.

I don't know when they are going to realize they need to fight for every rebound, they need to hustle the entire game, leaders need to step up and take control, just horrible!

A key case of that, Shelstad free throws cut the lead to 63-60. Minnesota misses, but gets an offensive rebound, puts it in, 65-60. 10 OR's for Minnesota, 4 for Oregon. Bittle had 0 offensive rebounds; to match his points, he also missed the first shot of a 1 & 1 twice.

Hard to imagine this team making it past the first round in the tournament. Wildly inconsistent is their only consistent trait.

Bittle had a rough day.  24 minutes, 0 points.     Was 0 fo 3 on FGs, and 0 for 2 on FTs according to box score.   Would think that your center would draw more fouls than that?   Not just fouls on shooting attempts, but when making rebounds.   Didn't see the game, so don't know what was happening other than the stat line.

Horrible loss.  That will cost them a few seed spots.

Yep. Consistently been a 3, maybe down to 5, @ UCLA on Thursday. Ducks haven't lost two in a row this season,

Bittle was not himself.

He looked like someone who had missed a night's sleep, or was under the weather.

I thought Shelstad needed to take charge when it was clear that Bittle was off his game.

I wasn't able to watch, but someone who did said they thought Bittle might have been playing while sick?

Next game is Thursday at UCLA.  If he has "road flu" hopefully he gets home tonight and spends time in bed.

If you ever traveled on business trips you can relate to "road flu" as a real thing.

It sure looked that way, especially when you think about the two front ends of 1 & 1 free throws that were short.

I thought our DUCKS played reasonably well except for the fact that Bittle was MIA on offense and defense.
