The most anticipated Spring Game in years!

Hope it’s the 1s vs. 1s (and 2s vs 2s).

While you can see individual talent (e.g., Tez) with split squads, it’s difficult to gauge how good the team and units are overall, especially the lines.

It's an interesting date with the second portal window opening on April 16th and closing on April 25th.

TOSU has announced that it will not play a spring game. With its season ending in Atlanta on 1/20/25, TOSU moved the start of spring practice back two weeks.

Matt Ruhle does not want Nebraska to play a spring game even though the game is traditionally sold out. He does not want to give portal poachers the chance to scout players in game-like conditions.

They aren't the only ones considering dropping the game format and going to a "fan fest" type format.

Fear of scouting?  Fear of injuries?   Fear of offending some kid who thinks he should be higher on the depth chart?

For those programs which have garnered $$$ from modest entry fees and concession sales, it is an interesting move.   Without a "game" will fans show up in problematic weather?

Those biggest spring game crowd numbers may never be challenged again.

Coaches may also tighten up on media access during practices.
