He's not Cooper Flagg.

Sarr is an athletic 6-6 wing who is still growing into his frame but flashes big time upside ability.

Needs to polish up his shooting form and become a better 3pth shooter. Gets good elevation on his jumper and is a capable 3pt shooter but doesn’t always put good rotation on the ball and is not yet a knockdown shooter.

Excels in the open court and getting downhill to the basket. Has a quick first step and is aggressive going to the rim.

Can play above the rim, score through contact and also shows good passing vision on his drives to the hoop.

Has a lot of talent and ability but is still unrefined. Can be a bit wild and careless with the ball.

Plays decent defense but reaches too often and needs to be more disciplined, patient and move his feet better.

This could mean something now: Apparently Sarr has started following Nate Bittle on Instagram.

Good news!  Sarr is a must have at this point.  The portal window has closed and Oregon still has 6 available scholarships.  The roster looks like this:

Proven:

Shelstad

Evans

Bittle (maybe)

Unproven:

Simpkins

Scored less than 4PPG last year:

Phillips

Pryor

Goodman

Lindsay

Kobzystyi

YIKES!!!

And surprisingly (at least to me), I heard Pryor is going to test the NBA waters.

Those waters seem dry. Didn’t he play limited minutes and average 3 PPG?

Yes.  That is why I was surprised when I heard (from what I believe to be reliable source -- one of the Duck podcasts) that Pryor was going to try and get a job in the NBA (but likely end up at Oregon).

Bittle didn’t get invited to the combine, so he is probably back.

We lost Paul Mbiya to NC State?

The recruiting trail is rough for Oregon right now.

I think your missing one player from this list.  Freshman guard J.J. Frakes stands 6'5 and weighs 190 lbs.  Unless I've missed something, he will be playing for the Ducks this upcoming season.

Here is a link to a blurb agout Devon Pryor's workout with the Blazers.    Pryor is quoted as follows:  “I’m in no rush, but for me, it’s just the feedback, as much feedback as I can get,” Pryor said. “Because I know there’s still plenty of ways for me to grow, and so I’m just open to everybody’s opinions and what they say I can do better. Keep open ears and a closed mouth.”

The Blazers hosted their first pre-draft workout of the year Tuesday. Hear from some of the prospects.

Sarr sounds like ex-Dawg Anthony Ant-Man Edwards of the T-Wolves. Ant has much improved his outside shooting and is unstoppable going to the hoop if there is the slightest crease in the defense. Routinely jams over 7-footers. He reclassified to get to college early and was the #1 overall pick of the NBA Draft at the end of his one-and-done year. He's still a baby who, I believe, would still have been a college senior this year had he stayed in school. If Sarr is at all comparable, the Ducks sure as h-ll want him.

They sure would! If Sarr is at all comparable to Ant-Man, I don't understand how, why, Duke or Kentucky haven't wrapped him up. If the Ducks had had a player that could get to the rim like he can last season...
