Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted yesterday at 05:23 PM More coming later as the Oregon bats came alive, and our pitching has held Beavis to just three runs in two games? Whew! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-0 Ducks after one inning. We got a DOM-BOMB from Dominic Hellman after Mason Neville took a walk from the Oregon State pitcher. Great start! 1 Mr. FishDuck

Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 3 Share Posted 17 hours ago 4-0 Ducks after two innings, as Oregon's Collin Clarke has held Oregon State down, while the good-guys see their offense flourish to start the game. Meanwhile the Beavis pitcher was self-destructing with two walks and plinking a batter. Then Drew Smith hit a superb single up the middle to score two Ducks! 1 Mr. FishDuck
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 4 Share Posted 17 hours ago 4-0 Ducks after three innings, as Oregon's Collin Clarke looks confident against Oregon State, and seems to be getting his control back thus far. Great drop-ball, and slider that makes his fast ball tougher... Mr. FishDuck
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 5 Share Posted 17 hours ago 7-0 Ducks after four innings. Pinch me! It is a FANTASTIC start to this game as Collin Clarke has got Beavis muttering... Great pitching creates great plays! 1 Mr. FishDuck
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 6 Share Posted 17 hours ago The Oregon offense is flying! Dominic Hellman has improved SO MUCH as a batter, and will make a base hit when his HR ball is not there. He got on base with a nice single, and then Jacob Walsh got a low ball from the sidewinder Oregon State pitcher that he drove up and OUT of PK Park for a two-run DINGER! Then Drew Smith hits a triple, and Maddox Molony hits a base-knock that drives him him. This is fun! 1 Mr. FishDuck
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 7 Share Posted 16 hours ago 9-0 Ducks after five innings! If I am dreaming...don't wake me up! Beavis can't hit Oregon's Collin Clarke, and cannot stop our offense to the glee of a full PK Park today. Ryan Cooney gets another hit to get on base, and then Mason Neville hits his 21st homer of the season, as every home run sets a new season record in Eugene. Whew! 2 Mr. FishDuck
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 8 Share Posted 16 hours ago 13-1 Ducks after six innings! Oh darn...Beavis got a run, but Oregon got it back and more! Anson Aroz got hit by a pitch, and then The Pride of Springfield, Maddox Molony, hit a two-run home run! But wait! The Ducks are not done pounding on Oregon State, as Burke-Lee Mabeus got a hit, and then Ryan Cooney got one. They advanced to second and third on a wild pitch, with Carter Garate zinging down the first base line to score both of them! The crowd is going crazy at PK Park, and the dancing is just a bit too much for all those dressed in prison attire. (Orange) 1 1 Mr. FishDuck
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 9 Share Posted 16 hours ago In the first half of the seventh inning....Ryan Featherston replaced Oregon starter Collin Clarke and retired the Oregon State side. This will be a very memorable game for Clarke, as getting your MoJo back against the No. 3 team in the nation will help his confidence the rest of the season. What a great day for him! 1 1 2 Mr. FishDuck

HDuck No. 17 Share Posted 14 hours ago Today's 13-1 game was the most lopsided in the series since Oregon renewed baseball in 2019. The Ducks previous best win was 7 runs in 2021 in Corvallis. The Beavs have four 10-run wins since 2019.
Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 18 Share Posted 12 hours ago Ducks Clinch Series Against No. 3 Oregon State EUGENE, Ore. — Collin Clarke turned in a dominant performance on the mound on Saturday while No 13 Oregon slugged four home runs in a series-clinching 13-1 win over No. 3 Oregon State on Saturday at PK Park in front of 4,278 fans. Clarke allowed just one run on four hits over 6.0 innings of work while striking out four and walking just two. He did not allow the run until Oregon had a nine-run lead heading into the top of the sixth inning. The Ducks got two run home runs from the first three batters in their lineup – Mason Neville, Dominic Hellman, Jacob Walsh -- over the first five innings, before six-hole hitter Maddox Molony added a two-run shot in the bottom of the sixth. How It Happened: The Ducks did not waste any time making an early statement in the game. After Neville walked to lead off the bottom of the first, Hellman slugged a two-run home run over the center-field wall. Hellman hits a two-run homer! Oregon added to the lead with two more runs in the second. Oregon State (32-9) starter Dax Whitney loaded the bases with a hit-by-pitch and two walks before Drew Smith delivered a two-out, two-run single to center field for a 4-0 lead. Oregon (29-12) added another crooked number to the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth. Hellman started the rally with a one-out single before scoring on a Walsh two-run home run to right field. Smith followed with a triple on a hard-hit ball up the middle that ricocheted off the second baseman changing the balls direction so the centerfielder could not get to it. Molony picked up Smith with an RBI single through the left side for a 7-0 lead. Neville made it 9-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning. After Ryan Cooney singled to lead off the inning, Neville lined his 21st homer of the season over the right-center field wall on a 0-2 count. The Ducks made it three consecutive innings with multiple runs in the sixth. Anson Aroz reached to start a four-run rally on a hit-by-pitch before scoring on the Molony home run over the left-center field wall. Burke-Lee Mabeus and Cooney had back-to-back singles before moving up to second and third on a passed ball. Carter Garate plated both with a double over the first-base bag. Box Score Notes: The announced attendance (4,278) was the largest regular-season crowd in PK Park history … The four home runs hit by the Ducks marked the eighth time this season Oregon has belted four-or-more homers … Clarke’s quality start was his fourth of the season … The 12-run margin of victory was the Ducks’ largest in series history with Oregon State since UO won 14-0 on April 15, 1972, and is the second-largest margin for the Ducks all-time. On Deck: Game three of the series is Sunday with a 12:05 p.m. first pitch. Quotes: Head Coach Mark Wasikowski On Collin Clarke’s performance… “Tremendous job. I thought the entire pitching staff, once again, the last two days, have been excellent. Each and every one of those guys that have gone out there.” On consistency shown at the plate… “We hit the long ball today, you know. We got some guys on and were able to capitalize on some mistakes that were up in the zone, which is good. And sometimes you miss them, today we got them, so we were fortunate.” On how this win changes the team’s mindset.. “We’ll find out, you know. We’ll find out when we come in tomorrow. I would think they’re a really hungry group, that’s what we just left our huddle with. Hopefully they’re going to be really hungry tomorrow and want to play really well.” Collin Clarke On adjustments going into the game... “I was just in the zone more today. I felt like I was able to control the ball a little bit better than the last few outings and when you do that, good things will happen.” On getting ahead in the count early... “It’s huge, especially when getting quick innings helps get the hitting back on track. In general, I think it’s pretty important not to walk guys.” Maddox Molony On having a breakout game after cold streak... “Yeah. The game of baseball is hard and it’s going to challenge you, so it’s nice to have some success like that.” On the success and consistency throughout the lineup... “It means a lot. We just fed off of each other. The guy before gets a hit, walk, or hit by pitch it doesn’t matter because the next guy was going to do something special.” On the excitement of turning a double play... “It’s one of the most exciting plays you can make other than a web gem or a diving play. Turning a double play and making it look routine is amazing.” Mason Neville On the pride the top of the lineup has... “A ton. I feel like our 1,2,3 is pretty special. I mean our entire in general is pretty special. I think we have the chance to really do some big things this year. To go out and have your 1,2,3 hitters all hit two-run homer runs is pretty tough to do, but it puts pressure on the other team, and on their pitcher. They don’t want to throw to us it seems like. It’s definitely a lot of fun to be a part of.” On carrying the momentum into tomorrow's game... “It’s nice to win the series in the first two games, but we’re after the sweep. So taking the win, brushing it off and maintaining the mindset we’ve had the past two games of just dominating every pitch and continuing to do that. That’s the best way to go about it and we plan on doing that tomorrow.” 2 Mr. FishDuck

Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 20 Share Posted 2 hours ago Great interviews! The difference this team when they play well is obvious; the level of the pitching. It is great to see Collin Clarke get his confidence back, as he pitched great and allowed even fewer runs than Grayson Grinsell did the day before! Equally crucial is Ryan Featherston coming in for two innings and keeping the runs to none during his stint. Both these guys are SO important, and like Seth Mattox yesterday....they are all getting the MoJo back, and just in time for a late-season run! 2 Mr. FishDuck
