Steven A Moderator No. 3 Share Posted 3 hours ago From Bruce 3404 This Friday through Sunday the Ducks will compete at home in their first Big 10 outdoor track and field championships. The Ducks swept both team titles indoors, with the men coming from almost out of nowhere to win. The outdoor projections show an SC sweep; however, the women fall only 1/2 point behind SC, 121 to 120.5. What this means is that if SC runs to form and ONE Duck moves up one position (say 8th to 7th), the Lady Ducks will win. Should be a barnburner right up to the final event. One important note is that the Ducks won indoors thanks to fine performances by Jadyn Mays and Jaida Ross, both of whom have no outdoor eligibility. While the Men had a huge upset indoors, an outdoor upset seems highly unlikely, with SC projected to score 140 points, Wisconsin 97 and the Ducks 75.
