Nice list. ASU at No.12 speaks well for Dillingham, Alabama at No.10, then up 4 spaces, Oregon! On my list I'd switch USC No.26 and UW No.33.

Man, is it ever a long offseason or what? Still, this 'stuff' is fun to ponder.

I'm not aware of any gaming sites taking bets for the 2027-28 playoff. Of course, Adam will lose nothing if his musings roll craps.

ASU? 12? Should any B12 team be this highly ranked? Sorry, but both USC and UW are underrated.

Here's my long-term predictions: In 2031, Stanford and Northwestern will have the 'Smartest' teams; no matter the sport, the SEC will have the most teams ranked in the preseason; the SEC will have the most players drafted by the NFL; the SEC will play eight conference games but it will continue to Just Mean More; SEC locker rooms will have the softest towels; Bill Belichick will not have produced a title at UNC and Bill and Jordon will not have produced a baby; Mari(o) will be back coaching at FIU; and The Big Ten will distribute the most revenue to its member schools. 🤑

It's hard to underrate USC and UW. 🙂  The bottom line is that neither will crack the top three in the B1G this season and will have some hard work ahead of them to finish 4th. UW won't come close. Fans in both cities will after their hides in January, especially LA.

I hope Belichick is using protection, particularly through the contract his agent negotiates for him. The ACC is not the place to go hunting for a natty. MC may be a great offensive line coach somewhere. The SEC is still going to be waiting for its next natty after the season is over. Stanford and Northwestern may have a tough time making the top five outside D1 and the top ten in colleges where sports are not a factor, but they still will have very valuable sheepskins. "Play" is the right word for those 4th best SEC non-conference games. Can some of those teams please change their initials to BYE? I kind of want to know how you tested those towels.
