3 hours ago3 hr Moderator Thank you, Stevan. Malchow was a terrific hire by Dan Lanning. But unlike the situation at SC, he wasn't brought in to rescue recruiting, or fire the HC at Stanford like Andrew Luck, or win a power struggle at Cal, Rivera over Wilcox, with every quality Cal player transferring out. Or to prop up six-time Super Bowl winner and $10 million a year man, Bill Belichick, at UNC. I see many of these GMs being brought in to patch holes that multi-million-dollar coaches can't fix. Recruiting, with the help of heaps of cash, has seemingly been fixed at SC. But the newbies have to be coached up; will this happen in South Central?Unfortunately, Luck isn't suiting up for the Cardinal, and Riveria is also out of eligibility at Cal. I don't expect these two programs to ace the ACC anytime soon. And Tom Brady isn't suiting up at QB at UNC. Without Tom Brady, Bill's Super Bowl record at New England is a likely Zip for Zip. Too many cooks ...?
