Posted September 6Sep 6 Administrator No. Let’s discuss the morning games in this thread, and if it gets too long, I can start another one, or start another one this afternoon for those games. It is strange to be rooting for Iowa, but I want the Big-Ten to win! Mr. FishDuck
September 6Sep 6 Moderator No. I don’t know if anyone else is watching the Penn St. game but they’re not looking very impressive against such a weak opponent in FIU…
September 6Sep 6 Moderator No. Yeesh, they’re up only 10-0 and got their field goal blocked right before halftime. For all the hype around the amount of returning talent and the upgrades at WR they got through the portal, they’re really struggling on offense.

September 6Sep 6 Author Administrator No. One sportscaster in the Illinois game said that Penn State is, "Playing with their food." Mr. FishDuck
September 6Sep 6 No. I sure hope Penn State wakes up because this is looking like the best team on our schedule is having some growing pains.
September 6Sep 6 Author Administrator No. In the other games...B1G is not impressing either. No. 11 Illinois only leads 14-13 at Half over Duke, and Iowa trails Iowa State 13-10 at halftime. Hope they can pull these games out! Mr. FishDuck
September 6Sep 6 No. Illinois is now up 31-19.Penn State is up 27-0SMU is up 38-24 over Baylor Ohio State is about to kickoff vs Grambling.Michigan is four hours away from kicking off in Norman.Iowa and Iowa State are deep into the fourth tied at 13.
September 6Sep 6 Moderator No. PSU finishes the game 34-0 though they looked unimpressive for the most part. I don’t know if it’s because of disinterest in their opponent or a general lackadaisical attitude or something else. James Franklin probably isn’t happy with this overall effort (I know I wouldn’t be if I were in his shoes).
September 6Sep 6 No. Allar had 217 yards passing, on 22/26... seems unimpressive. Edited September 6Sep 6 by woundedknees
September 7Sep 7 Moderator No. My daughter is a student at UNC Charlotte. They’re playing the Tar Heels tonight and she’s at the game. Apparently, the “Bill’s a pedo” chants have started.
September 7Sep 7 No. So... If USF shocks Miami next week with a win, do we start to consider them a real playoff contender? Or do we already? It's conceivable that they could win out after next week and be in regardless of a loss to Miami. A win in the conference championship game vs Tulane/Memphis (or whoever is will be) could place them as a higher seed, yes? I'm not a bracketologist by any means, so perhaps one of you smart folks could explain that. Also, how awesome would it be if they beat Miami?? (unlikely)
