Our receiver is wide open. He’s found a seam and he’s sitting in it, about 20 yards from the line of scrimmage. He’s not in the center of the field, and the QB is in the pocket, 7 to 10 yards behind the line, so let’s say there are 35-40 yards between them. There are a couple of tall guys someplace around the line of scrimmage.

Question: How many seconds will it take for the ball to get from Dante’s hand to the receiver’s face mask?

I stayed up until 10:30 last night helping my high school freshman daughter prepare for her math test, so I'll pass on the number crunching.

So my answer is the ball will get there faster than the DB thinks is possible.
