  1. Ask and you shall receive.....by way of the 4th round move by Denver! Could this be another Burrows/Chase situation unfolding in Denver? I think so. Go Ducks!
  2. Couldn't have happened to a better guy! I was pleasantly surprised at the pick by Denver and thought they may have traded "back" to pickup Nix in the second. I do believe the "crux" point was 5 quarterbacks taken in first ten picks. That run of QB's locked Bo into the Denver pick, if Denver was to draft a QB in this draft cycle. Of all the places he could have landed I believe Denver probably gives him the best situation towards success. With that team being in rebuilding mode after that disastrous trade with Seattle and an "experienced" NFL QB already onboard to carry the team for a couple years; Bo will have the opportunity to compete without necessarily being thrown into the fire as a rookie. Probably the best situation for him. (Unless of course he Earns the right of trial by fire...lol) The fact that we now shall be getting ten years or more of Mahomes/Herbert/Nix divisional battles, twice a year between each, has me giddy in anticipation of the entertainment value of AFC West football. Now lets get another half dozen or so Duck Draftees into the NFL over the next couple days. (Could Franklin drop to the third round and have Denver pick him up as a bookend to Bo?) The Duck force is strong with these playa's! GO Nix Broncos, Go Duck draftees, Go Duck Nation! Win the Draft!
  3. Perfect example of one of my favorite life "mantra's". "Remember, not getting what you want, is sometimes an incredible stroke of Luck!" Definitely an upgrade with Coach Lanning. GO DUCKS!
  4. I cannot express how exciting this is for Oregon Mens Basketball. Stubblefield is a "players" coach and understands how to "teach" players how to use and improve on their God given abilities. Many, many years ago I remember my first true exposure to Tony's coaching knowledge and style was a video showing him working with "Jordan Bell" on downlow, in the key, footwork and body control to dominate the boards offensively and defensively. I was very impressed with his ability to coach the "nuances" of the inside game in just a two minute video. I believe some of the frustrations Duck Mens Basketball has experienced over the past few years probably had a lot to do with the lack of a coach that has these abilities to help coalesce and elevate an individuals game. The fact that Dana Altman recognizes "game" from his former assistant and welcomed him back with open arms shows me that there are No Ego issues, just the desire to continue to compete at the highest level. Dana and Tony have worked Very Well together over the years. I think Mr. Stubblefield "shot his shot" and is now personally satisfied to be part of the Altman team, once again. Welcome back Tony. Missed Ya! Now lets put together a team to take on the B1G 's gauntlet of top college basketball programs! Go !
  5. The NFL draft rarely goes as expected beyond the first half dozen picks. Even then, the variables involved for rookie players, especially quarterbacks, is so wildly different and unpredictable that guaranteed draft success is even more rare. That being said. When this draft all "shakes out" Sir Bo will be a first round talent most likely taken in the second round. Where the team that selects him, depending on how they use and develop his talents, will find a "franchise level" quarterback that they did not have to "sell the farm" to acquire. To put it another way: Bo Nix will be considered a "steal" a few years down the road for whatever NFL team commits their draft pick for him. Go Ducks NFL QB's!
  6. I think I remember something similar said about the "attractiveness" of Oregon Football regarding conference realignment after USuC and UCla's B1G move announcement. That narrative was used to get the Ducks (and Dawgs) at half price, yet Now Duck football is being viewed as a top three team in the conference and a potential ratings "goldmine" for the B1G. Get the chance to "prove it on the field" year after year now. Not just once every three or four years when we just happen to have a top10 team on our schedule, but Every Year. Facts and reality tend to rise above opinion. Go B1G Ducks!
  7. Tick Tock NFL legal. They be a comin' for your viewership. Grab a big ol bag of popcorn cause the legalalities and antitrust issues are about to explode all over football in the next few years. Player paying football leagues will be completely different ten years from now than they currently are today. I can only hope that the changes produce a better and more entertaining product on the field and the amounts of money involved justify those changes. Of course only time will tell. Just give me some high quality Duck football to immerse myself in and I can probably accept, or ignore, what comes to pass. Go Ducks!
  8. Hmmm...pencil with an eraser, bat. Meant to "erase" opponents leads late in games? Uniforms...playing courts...and now sporting equipment. The Oregon Ducks athletic promo department leaves Nothing untouched by imagination and branding. Almost like they are trying to create a "uniqueness" that encompasses all of Oregon Athletics. Definitely, for better or not, makes fans and athletes take notice. I don't like everything that comes down the pike but I will say it is fun. And I need as much fun in my life that I can get. Stay innovative Duck Athletics. Quack!
  9. I love the fact that I do not have to be concerned with missing a broadcast of Oregon Ducks Baseball. Sir Charles Fischer, being the avid baseball fan that he is, makes it feel like actually "being there" when reading his synopsis of the games. Actually gets a casual baseball fan...excited. Good Job, Charles aannndddd. GO DUCKS BASEBALL. 's!
  10. Coulda, shoulda, been a whole lot worse. Time to make some adjustments at halftime. Let's Go Ducks!
  11. So many missed open threes by Creighton. Basketball gods must be a smiling on OBD...for now.
  12. Thankfully Creighton has started ice cold from three...with a lot of open looks. Let's hope it stays that way.
