That same edge would send the Ducks to Indianapolis should the Buckeyes lose to UCLA. Should Ohio State lose to Rutgers, the Ducks would finish ahead of Ohio State thanks to a better record among five common Big Ten opponents.College football CFP conference tiebreakers for SEC, ACC, AAC, Big 10So, we run the table and any stumble by OSU, we're in CShip game.I'm for it. Win it and get a top 4 seed and a bye. One less round of playoffs . . . you can't lose a bye game and rely upon learning from last year's lessons.

If you miss the conference championship game you get. A bye that week but play a week earlier. Worst scenario is making the championship game and losing it and needing to play a first round game anyways.
