With Brandon Smith adding to the Ducks' 2026 recruiting class, Oregon has inched ahead of Alabama to retake the No. 2 spot in the 247Sports Composite national team recruiting rankings.

The Oregon Ducks have once again claimed the nation's No. 2 recruiting class in the 2026 cycle. A January commitment from Compsoite four-star running back Brandon Smith has pushed the Ducks from No. 3 to No. 2.

Oregon flirted with the nation's No. 1 class around National Signing Day in December, but eventually slid from No. 2 to No. 3 after a surge from the Alabama Crimson Tide. 

Smith's addition brought the Ducks' 2026 class to 22 signed scholarship recruits in the high school/junior college pools that count toward Oregon's score.
