Oregon Athletics Announces the Opening of The Star at PK Park

Oregon Athletics is proud to announce the opening of The Star at PK Park, a new premier hospitality space designed to elevate the game-day experience and strengthen the future of Oregon Baseball. This exclusive venue provides Founding Members with the ultimate hospitality opportunity while directly supporting the growth of Oregon baseball scholarships as part of the NCAA House settlement.

The Star is named as a subtle nod to the iconic Carl’s Jr. star—a tribute to the remarkable generosity and legacy of Joe and Cathleen Karcher, whose lead gift helped bring this vision to life. Their commitment, along with the dedication of all Founding Members, ensures that Oregon Baseball continues its rise as a nationally competitive program.

In addition to offering first-class amenities for Founding Members on game days, The Star expands the program’s year‑round impact. The space will serve as a home for recruiting events, team functions, and private rentals—with any proceeds reinvested back into the Oregon Baseball program.

Oregon Athletics extends its deep appreciation to the Karchers, Tim and Shelby Kerr and Kerr Contractors, Jeff and Jamie Gaskill and O&S Contractors, and Mark and Carla Byrum and Urban Restaurants for their extraordinary partnership and support in making this new addition to PK Park possible.

The Star represents the very best of what makes Oregon Baseball special—passion, generosity, and a shared belief in what this program can achieve. We are incredibly grateful to Joe and Cathleen Karcher and to every member of our baseball community whose support continues to push us forward. Their commitment ensures our student-athletes have every opportunity to compete at the highest level.
Mark Wasikowski, Head Baseball Coach

The opening of The Star is a celebratory moment for Oregon Baseball and for Oregon Athletics. This project reflects the strength of our community and the vision of donors who believe in creating extraordinary opportunities for our student-athletes. We are deeply thankful for the Karcher family and every partner who helped make this facility a reality.
Rob Mullens, Director of Athletics

This is so smart....the same logic needs to be applied to any future Autzen/Moshofsky work.

That is to say, striving to maximize the revenue per attendee at every event. This is the wisest growth model in my opinion, as opposed to just higher capacity.

The move to the B1G conference especially makes this strategy the most efficient driver of future cash flows.
