This is not new, as it has been brewing with the Mississippi native for a long time.  The positive spin?  When he committed to Oregon--he was unranked and pulled our team rankings down.  But his status skyrocketed over the season and this demonstrates that the Duck coaches know how to identify upside before everyone else does.

I know he didn’t need much convincing to stay near home (word is he’s a MSU lean). However, we can all be sure that so long as MC is a hot name for open jobs, other coaches will use that fact to try and lure his recruits. It’s all part of the game.
