January 11, 20214 yr Administrator I see the men as a Sweet Sixteen team if everything goes well, and we achieve our potential. So I am not worried at the drop at all. The Women? The potential to be an Elite-Eight team is there if they continue to develop, and THAT is the fun to watch! Mr. FishDuck
January 11, 20214 yr Author Moderator I have to give credit to one of the women who were announcing the Oregon-Stanford game. Before it was over she said that it would be wrong if the Ducks dropped in the polls because of the loss, stating, "their aren't 10 other teams better than Oregon."
January 11, 20214 yr Regarding the men's position... I notice that there is a large disparity between the AP and Coaches' polls for where the Oregon men stand. AP #22, Coaches #17. I cannot help but think that in the coaches' poll the Ducks are 5 spots higher just because of the respect the coaches have for Dana Altman. They have a better idea of where this team belongs.
