All early signing day has done is move up the timeline on coach's being fired. Moved up the date when kids enter the portal. Drop this and go back to the February signing day.

Too hard to drop when high schoolers can graduate when their football season ends, and can enroll in the college Winter term.  

 

Nothing about coaching decisions, transfer portal registrations, or recruit shifting improves because of the date.  

Early signing may actually improve all measures, as it is better to know earlier than later.

I like it, it is just the Florida snowbirds we have had living here that are adversely effecting the new date. When we stop hiring snowbirds all will be good.

 

Seems like everyone but Oregon knows about the snowbird phenomenon, I suppose we know it well now.
