I have to admit i had no idea what a football chief of staff was... spoiler... should be really good for our recruiting

The linked article is from 2018 just FYI

I guess I'm still not fully sure what a football chief of staff is... Also why haven't we had one? Have we had one and I just didn't know?

I could be wrong on it being a boon to recruiting but it seems like a position to free up time for the head coach, handle smaller issues with the coaches and players, and just kinda make sure things are running smoothly. (I would definitely be the wrong person to draft a job opening ad for it)

He did seem to get a lot of behind the scenes credit for Georgia and Texas A&M recruiting classes although his title was different.
