Posted January 31, 20223 yr Moderator Both the Men's and Women's teams had bumpy starts. But about two weeks ago, both turned the corner with some great wins and are set for an exciting run to end the season. Oregon Women Oregon is currently in second place, 6-1, behind 7-0 Stanford, their next game is at home against ASU, on Tuesday, no TV for this one, and then the re-match at Arizona, Friday. Oregon Men Orgon is in a tie for 4th Place, with Washington? Yes, the Huskies, who the Ducks just beat by 28 points, are both 6-3 in conference play. The next game for Washington is at Cal, 2-8. Meanwhile Oregon will try again to get a win at Colorado. Colorado, the team that ended Oregon's hot streak, lost their last game, at WSU, 70-43.
January 31, 20223 yr Moderator Earlier editions of DA’s transfer-loaded teams that lacked the star power of those transfers we are seeing now seemed to gel a bit quicker. Getting more guys who have been use to running the show to buy into Dana’s more selfless approach may just take more time. Hope what we saw against the rodents says we’re turning the corner, but I’m not sure I quite trust this team’s motor yet.
January 31, 20223 yr Author Moderator So far the Ducks are undefeated against the teams ahead of them on the Men's side. L's to Stanford and ASU. Losing to Colorado at home, after getting a 15 point lead in the 1st half? The Women's team has only the L on the road at 1st place, Stanford.

January 31, 20223 yr Yesterday the Duck women moved the ball well. There were several fast-break baskets off steals, and much more passing than dribbling, with passes finding open shots. The first four field goals were lay-ins, and the next two were threes. They have lots of weapons. Defense was stifling. They are fun to watch. Graves substituted freely, going to the deep bench to rest players for the coming three games in six days., the first at home vs. ASU and then to Arizona and ASU away. Hopefully they will keep the win-streak going.

The chemistry is really developing with the players understanding their roles, and smooth play evolves from that.
