It grieves me to say so, Arizona was better prepared than the ducks. Duck had no answer for the full court press. Arizona players played harder.

I'm afraid you're right, Cockroach. There was a hope that Arizona would be so hyped that they'd burn out. Instead, they played with purpose, intensity and poise. The Lady Gucks were discombobulated. For a while the game was closer than it should have been, but Arizona was always in control.

     What can you say? They played like a team motivated by their loss in Eugene, and wanting to prove in a high profile game that the returning players from last year’s championship game are ready to go again. Yes, give them credit for taking it to us.  
 

     Painful? Yes. It’s never a good feeling to get out-hustled. But, in-league elite competition is a gift that pays dividends further down the road. It’s the best thing you can ask for. Kelly and his team will learn from this game.
