My Friends, what you see below is the current batting average of the Oregon Baseball team, and while I cannot imagine it will hold up....it has been fun to watch them develop and flourish!

Drew Cowley                  .467

Colby Shade                   .441

Brennan Milone             .351

Josh Kasevich               .351

Gavin Grant                    .351

Jacob Walsh                  .349

Josiah Cromwick          .342

Anthony Hall                  .318

Tanner Smith                 .318

Sam Novitske                .244

Jack Scanlon                 .129

With coaching like this--I think we have GREAT TIMES ahead for Oregon Baseball!

I don't think Horton ever had a "hitting coach" while at Oregon.

With Jack Marder as the hitting coach the results have been visible.

A former Oregon player, Jack Marder is in his third season as a member of Mark Wasikowski’s staff.   The

The University of Oregon alum serves as the Ducks’ hitting coach, while working with the catchers and serving as the program’s recruiting coordinator.

Last season with Marder in charge of the hitters, Oregon re-wrote the school’s record books. The Ducks set new school records for runs scored (379), home runs (56) and RBI (334), while also falling just two doubles (118) and four total bases (860) shy of school records ultimately finishing second in both categories. In all, Oregon’s offense ranked in the top-10 all-time in 10 categories including hits (3rd/546), walks (3rd/255), batting average (8th/.289), at-bats (8th/1,890) and triples (10th/14).

Mr. FishDuck

Thanks for posting the baseball updates Charles!! I appreciate them!!

Go Ducks!!

5 over 300 is excellent. The Ducks have 7 over 333. If they can come remotely close to that against good pitching they will win 90% of their games. 280 in the Bigs is millionaire status. 300 is perennial all star.
