Oregon Softball Beats Cal 8-6

Cal started out strong with a pair of solo home runs after two outs.

 

Oregon answered in the bottom of the 1st by scoring three runs. Kedre Luschar, Allee Bunker, Hannah Delgado all singled. KK Humphries struck out. Ariel Carlson drove home two runs with a single up the middle. Jasmine Williams drew a walk. Vallery Wong singled to right field scoring Delgado, with Carlson thrown out at home. Rachel Cid struck out to end the 1st inning.

Oregon 3 – California 2

 

In the 2nd inning Bears with 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 1 LOB.

 

Ducks score two more runs in the 2nd inning.

Gabby Herrera reached on an error by 1b

Kedre Luschar, Kai grounded out to 3b

Allee Bunker doubled to right center, Gabby Herrera scored           

Hannah Delgado grounded out to pitcher, Bunker advanced to third.         

Allee Bunker scored on a wild pitch

KK Humphreys struck out to end the 2nd inning.

Ducks 5 – Bears 2

 

In the 3rd inning Cal adds a home run

 

Oregon with 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 1 Errors, 1 LOB in the bottom of the 3rd.

 

Oregon 5 – Cal 3

 

4th inning for Bears 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB

 

Oregon with another run in the 4th.

Gabby Herrera struck out

Kedre Luschar walked and advanced to second on a wild pitch.

Allee Bunker walked 

Hannah Delgado hit by a pitch; Bunker advanced to second; Luschar advanced to third.     

Delgado advanced to second on a wild pitch; Bunker advanced to third; Luschar scored.

KK Humphreys struck out swinging.

Ariel Carlson walked 

Jasmine Williams reached on a fielder's choice to third base; Carlson advanced to second; Delgado out at third.

In the 5th for California 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB

 

Ducks add another run!

Vallery Wong popped up to short

Cid, Rachel singled to right

Gabby Herrera singled to center; Cid advanced to second.

Kedre Luschar grounded out to third base; Herrera advanced to second; Cid advanced to third.              

Herrera advanced to third on a wild pitch; Cid scored on the wild pitch.       

Allee Bunker walked, Bunker stole second.  

Hannah Delgado struck out swinging.

Oregon 7 – Cal 3

 

6th inning 3 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 2 LOB for the Bears thanks to two hit batters and a walk to start the frame.

 

Oregon respond with another run in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Teyah Bird struck out looking.

Ariel Carlson walked.

Carlson advanced to second on a wild pitch.

Jasmine Williams flied out to right field; Carlson advanced to third.                       

Carlson scored on a wild pitch.

Vallery Wong grounded out to shortstop.

Ducks 8 – Bears 6

 

In the top of the 7th inning for California 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 1 Errors, 1 LOB

 

Ducks Win! Oregon 8 – California 6

Series is tied at 1 game each.

 

Tie breaker will be played starting at noon on Sunday.

Above post #2 should have identified Kai Luschar rather than her sister Kedre.
