May 7, 20223 yr Author Moderator I really enjoyed his thoughts on the Nix 'issues' and the in-depth discussion of the SC OL. SC does have some legit OL guys returning and the transfer from UVA should help out a lot. And the OL will be playing in front of a far more mobile QB than Slovis or Dart. Also, for those who read the article, pay attention to discussion of Cam Ward at Washington State. This young man lit up FCS ball and he looked darn good in the Wazzu spring game. Washington State is my pick for the surprise team in the Pac-12 in 2022. I think the Wazzu at Wisconsin game could turn out to be a far better game than most Badgers fans are expecting.

Or Stanford?
May 7, 20223 yr This is why the hiring of headcoach DL was so big, defense. We will need a very good defense to win the north. (And as Charles has said many times, more than 40 points a game.) WSU will pass alot. OSU will run alot. We need to be stout up front and quick on the back end. The portal has really changed how fast a team can turn things around, at least on paper. The key will be how well all the new pieces play together. This will separate who the better coaches/programs are. What schools will have the best "team culture". Football is still very much a team sport. It should be very entertaining to watch it all unfold.
