30Duck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted June 1, 2022 Great story. I remember back in the 70's I sent letters to my favorite players. This was way before the internet, so my letter to Willie Mays must have been addressed, Willie Mays San Francisco Giants San Francisco, California and similarly, to Hank Aaron, Bob Gibson, Lou Brock. and others. While at the time it seemed like these Hall of Fame players were sitting in the locker room thrilled to know they were my favorite, more likely some secretary in an office was scribbling away. Charles Fischer Author Administrator No. 3 Share Posted June 1, 2022 A few years back, I received a package of stuff that a kid wanted autographed by Justin Herbert, and this was just after he was drafted. Why he sent it to me...I don't know. But I sent it on to the Chargers! Mr. FishDuck
Steven A Moderator No. 4 Share Posted June 2, 2022 Friend of a friend said he could get Mariota to sign stuff. I gave him my size medium #8 Jersey to get signed. Mine evidently was signed by Marcus, problem was after two years of asking I got back an unsigned XXL jersey with the explanation that he couldn't get it signed. So, no autograph and a nice #8 night gown for my wife.
