Looks like the UC Regents commissioned a report due out later in August. The upcoming report is "intended to examine what effect the university's decision will have on its student-athletes and other California colleges — namely UC Berkeley(.)" How the report is presented may provide a clue but after distribution it will need to be analyzed, discussed, and questions asked with an inherent delay in getting the answers. Then more discussion, questions, etc. Frustrating but probably a good thing. Like McDuck said, we likely won't know until much later after the report has been read by the Regents and other decisionmakers.
