The decision by the two universities to...

Looks like the UC Regents commissioned a report due out later in August.

The upcoming report is "intended to examine what effect the university's decision will have on its student-athletes and other California colleges — namely UC Berkeley(.)"

This post isn't intended to get into the politics at all, but just to give a heads-up on the forthcoming report because we've been speculating on the effects on travel for student-athletes, etc ...

So that means we will know later this month whether they are stopping UCLA from moving or not?

Doubt it.  How the report is presented may provide a clue but after distribution it will need to be analyzed, discussed, and questions asked with an inherent delay in getting the answers.  Then more discussion, questions, etc.

Frustrating but probably a good thing.  Decisions of that magnitude should be taken with care and consideration, open and transparent unlike what was announced the end of June by the band UCLA and the Backstabbers.

Like McDuck said, we likely won't know until much later after the report has been read by the Regents and other decisionmakers.  It does look like an uphill battle to get UCLA to stay in the Pac-12, though.
