No Oregon Ducks position group has been more significantly and enormously enhanced this offseason than the interior defensive line.

Sorry, duplicate article.

When looking at depth and scheme this is 100%. We never really had that fully stocked front seven cupboard even in 2010 - 2012 when we were a damn good defense.   Of course, having a S & C coach that doesn't just focus on just gaining weight and strength "only" should help. With Feld, I'd virtually guarantee injuries would still destroy us at certain positions. These guys get supportive tissue development, etc. which will hopefully minimize this.

When it comes to scheme, the other side of the story is that like most, we're in Nickle (the star) running a 4-2-5 scheme as our base so realistically we're really 3 deep at the edge which is a huge plus. Granted, we'll run multiple schemes personnel-wise so when they want to get both DJ and Swinson it will really be a 2-4-5 against pass heavy schemes but nice to have that flexibility.
