"You got to learn how to be poised," Taimani said. "We kind of learned our lesson today; we were a little aggressive today, so we ran a little. It's how we practice is how he wants us to play in the game. He doesn't want any of the smack talking, extra stuff; he wants us to have clean practices because how we practice will translate into the game."

Taki is a fun guy to listen to.  Full of experience and humble.  He's a good addition to Team Havoc.

It will be nice to see poised defenders making a great tackle, a great play, and then hustling back to get ready to do it again.  No more smack talking, pounding chests, and showboating!

Dan Lanning is teaching!  Dan Lanning is in charge!

Go Ducks!

Lanning quote..

"I think what you notice as you get into day five and day six, you start to recognize who has their head buried in their playbook, who's spending the extra time. It's hard to play fast if you don't know what you are doing."

Lanny and Dilly are both football "wonks" and as such can tell the guys who haven't grasped the scheme really quick.

Love DL’s term, “controlled aggression”.  It says it all: a combination of your head (playbook) and your body (embrace the strain).
