John brings up some really good points about this candidate, but also the timing needed for the job and what awaits the new commissioner.  It seems in his writing that John is not just trying to stir the nest, but he really wants a good hire to happen for the sake of the conference.

You can bet that if the conference makes a bad hire this time, Schools will be jumping ship quickly and then the Pac-12 will die a fast death.
