Great to see the Ducks continue rolling through the regular season. 49 points of offense, while nice, was to be expected. Especially given that of the 8 teams that have spanked Colorado, all but one have scored 40+ points on them.

Regardless, it was another very solid win.

But now comes the final push meat grinder: UW, Utah, @ OSU.

Huge props to the Duck players, and to the coaching staff. This could end up being one of the most miraculous turn-around seasons ever. Two months ago, if you tired to tell me Oregon would be 8-1, I would have laughed at you. Fortunately, the joke is on me 🙂

Recap: Oregon rolls to 39-point blowout win over Colorado

If you had picked Oregon to score first in Saturday's game, that would have been a near-sure bet.

If you had backup tackle Josh Conerly Jr. scoring the first touchdown, you should go buy a lottery ticket.

Scoring in the first quarter has been surprisingly rare for the red-hot Oregon offense.

Conerly's score broke a two-game streak of reaching the end zone in the first 15 minutes.

Ducks stifle Buffaloes with creative offensive play calls

Some creative offensive play calling led to a host of firsts on Saturday afternoon in Boulder.

The three opening scores had the Colorado Buffaloes mystified, as they fell into a quick 21-0 hole, and eventually lost 49-10.

"They hit us with a bunch of stuff we just haven't seen before," Colorado linebacker Josh Chandler-Semedo said. "In-game,

I feel like we adjusted to the things that were on tape, but they had some new wrinkles for us, and they executed very well."

What Mike Sanford said after Colorado lost to Oregon Ducks

Oregon’s got an extremely dynamic offense and that we for the most part we took away the chunk plays down the field, but as

per usual with Oregon’s offense, a lot of those check downs turn into chunk plays because everybody respects the speed so much.

Report card: Offense keeps rolling while the defense still remains imperfect

On the whole, Oregon did very well as it dominated Colorado 49-10, as they should have. The offense was very good

and although the defense gave up too many yards, the bottom line is the Buffaloes scored just 10 points.

Here’s the report card for the 39-point road victory over the worst team in the conference.

Oregon's offensive innovation in Colorado win makes college football history

Oregon became the first FBS team since at least 1996 to have a receiving touchdown by an offensive lineman (Conerly),

a receiving touchdown by a quarterback (Nix), and a rushing touchdown by a defensive player (linebacker Noah Sewell) in the same game.

In fact, no other FBS team has achieved all three in a single season, let alone a single game.

SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM

Oregon got creative in its win over Colorado. In doing so, it made a bit of college football history.
