Pennsylvania Duck Moderator No. 1 Share Posted November 30, 2022 Once the season is over I’d argue the real work takes place. The next 8 weeks might be the busiest period for all college coaches around the country. Key dates in recruiting, announcements for the NFL draft and now the transfer portal getting crazy. It's hard to keep everything in order, so here are the important dates for you to keep in mind... Important Dates To Monitor - On3 WWW.ON3.COM One could argue the next eight weeks will be busier than at any point in the calendar year for Dan Lanning and his staff. Steven A Moderator No. 4 Share Posted November 30, 2022 A new wrinkle and an interesting question poised by Matt Prehm (paraphrased) at 24/7 in regard to keeping under classmen with NFL potential . . . Could Oregon's NIL collectives put together good enough packages to (players with eligibility remain) that one or more decide to come back for another season? Tandaian No. 5 Share Posted November 30, 2022 That would be a ton of money. The NFL rookie minimum is over 500,000. So, if a guy makes the team, he is making at least 500,000. 6th and 7th rounders only make a team 30-35% of the time. What percentage of drafted players make an NFL roster? WWW.SPORTSKEEDA.COM Players drafted into the NFL are already facing tough odds to make the NFL roster. There's no guarantee that all of the drafted players will make the team's 53-man roster by the time Week-1 begins. We have seen first-hand plenty of Ducks leave early and not get drafted or get drafted later than they assumed. These kids growing up dreaming of going to the NFL. Even if they are given bad information, when somebody tells them they will get drafted, they listen like it is a given. I think some kids might be persuaded to come back given the right NIL deal, but far fewer than we probably think.
