Oregon hosts upset minded UC RIverside in Wednesday night showdown

"We played them last year, and had a heck of a game. We had a hard time slowing them down," said Oregon head basketball coach Dana Altman.

Oregon won last season's meeting 71-65, with senior guard Will Richardson having a game-high 17 points and five assists in the victory.

Riverside returns three starters from last year's squad, including senior guard Zyon Pullin. Pullin averages a team-high 19.3 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. He shoots an impressive 60 percent on 3-pointers this season while also shooting above 50 percent from the field.

Oregon hangs on for a sloppy victory over UC Riverside

After a first half that featured seven lead changes and four ties, the Oregon Ducks clamped down on defense and used a big second half to get a tough but well-earned victory over UC Riverside Wednesday night inside Matthew Knight Arena. Ducks lack consistency but take home a non-conference victory

For a team with this many injuries heading into a significant portion of its season, wins are hard to come by,

and every win is a positive sign for the Ducks' longevity and potential post-season hopes.

Oregon is still in a decent position if they can get healthy by conference play. They do not have a Q3 or Q4 loss.  Just going to need to pick up a couple wins from the group of UCLA, AZ, Utah, and ASU and take care of business against the other schools.

Hopefully they can get healthy and go on a run.

On a side note, every single player on the team should have to wear a boot on their left foot as a precautionary measure when not on the court.
