Pac-12 Fires Two Top Executives After Investigative Audit

Recommended Posts

The decision came after an investigation determined they failed to disclose overpayments by a distribution partner.

Under Larry Scott's watch, of course.

I think this is going to be a big story. Even in today's world, $50 million is a lot of money, and it went somewhere, likely somewhere it wasn't supposed to go. The two fired execs are not accused of personally keeping the money, which raises even more questions as to where the money went. Did no one else notice the extra $50 million over the years?

"Overpayment" is a strange term; what does it mean? How can a "distribution partner" (FOX? ESPN?) overpay, year after year, without some sort of arrangement, likely illegal, on both sides, the conference and the partner?

Whaddaya got to say about this, Larry? Have you already lawyered up?
