Wide Receiver Becoming a Numbers Game for Oregon

The Oregon Ducks landed another big commitment on Monday, as 2024 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Jack Ressler announced his commitment to Dan Lanning and Oregon.

With Ressler in the fold, Junior Adams now has four wide receivers committed and space is limited at the position. After signing just two high school wide receivers in the 2023 cycle, it's looking like five could be the sweet spot in 2024.

Dan Lanning and the Ducks will host numerous top targets for official visits this month and we're looking at some of the other wide receivers Oregon is still in the running for and who could be next in 2024.

Rivals Rankings Week: Breaking down the 2024 offensive linemen

The national analyst team had a lot of back and forth on the top offensive line recruit conversation, with Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei's

Brandon Bakerwinning out against stout competition (the other contenders were also ranked within the top 30 overall). Not only is Baker the only projected offensive tackle among the top three offensive line recruits in the updated Rivals250, he could be among the safest bets at any premium position in the class.

More tape of him working against some of the best competition in the nation won't hurt, though the resume is already among the best at the position to date. It's part of the reason why Georgia, Ohio State, Oregon, USC, Texas and others are clamoring for a potential commitment.

Should this recruitment end sooner rather than later, look for the Ducks or Buckeyes to be in the best shape to land the new No. 1 player in the offensive trenches.

Brandon Baker sits in the top spot among offensive linemen, but there is plenty of depth at the position.
