  1. Past hour
  2. 2-0 Michigan State after seven innings. Grinsell is at 92 pitches, and trust him more than a reliever. Problem is, their pitcher is untouchable, and he only has 72 pitches. he could go all nine innings, while Oregon is running out of outs!
  3. Oregon basketball center Nate Bittle not invited to NBA Combine Although Oregon Ducks center Nate Bittle was assumed to return to the program for the 2025-26 season, the 7-footer from Central Point, Ore. wanted to test out the NBA draft waters. On Friday, he received some news on that front. Bittle did not receive an invitation to the NBA Combine later this month, which could diminish his chances of being drafted in June. This might be disappointing news for Bittle, but it's potentially good news for the Ducks, who will have one of the best centers in the country next season if he chooses to return for one more year in Eugene. Oregon basketball center Nate Bittle not invited to NBA Combine DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon center Nate Bittle is one step closer to returning to the Ducks as the NBA doesn't give him an invitation to the combine.
  4. 2-0 Michigan State after six innings. Grinsell has 79 pitches, so I think he’ll be on the mound for the seventh.
  5. 2-0 Michigan State after five innings, as they hit a line-drive dinger.
  6. 1-0 Michigan State after four innings. A great pick-off by Grayson Grinsell again!
  7. 1-0 Michigan State after three innings. I am having spammer problems on my desktop, so I will be posting from my mobile phone, and will be unable to provide the usual items I’ve done before.
  8. Yes. That is why I was surprised when I heard (from what I believe to be reliable source -- one of the Duck podcasts) that Pryor was going to try and get a job in the NBA (but likely end up at Oregon).
  9. Today
  10. 1-0 Michigan State after two innings as Anson Aroz dropped a fly-ball as he was running to get it, and thus a runner scored on it. A great throw to third base to pick off the runner trying to extend his bases...but the score occurred before. We have some puzzling defensive lineup changes, as Anson Aroz moves to center field, and Mason Neville is the Designated Hitter. Dominic Hellman is playing first base, which I expected to see next year, and they moved Jacob Walsh to left field? I do not get this at all...Waz has a great reason, but I be darned if I can figure it out.
  11. Those waters seem dry. Didn’t he play limited minutes and average 3 PPG?
  12. 0-0 after one inning as it appears the umpire behind the plate is not giving the outside edge to the pitchers. Michigan State's lefty is tough, and our batters are finding that the ball does not carry as far in their park. (Heavy, cold air?) Not only is Oregon's Grayson Grinsell on point, but he is SO GOOD at pick-off moves at first and second base.
  13. And surprisingly (at least to me), I heard Pryor is going to test the NBA waters.
  14. Good news! Sarr is a must have at this point. The portal window has closed and Oregon still has 6 available scholarships. The roster looks like this: Proven: Shelstad Evans Bittle (maybe) Unproven: Simpkins Scored less than 4PPG last year: Phillips Pryor Goodman Lindsay Kobzystyi YIKES!!!
  15. Recapping each of Oregon's 11 incoming transfers and their fits this fall The Ducks have added nearly a dozen players from the transfer portal this offseason. Here's a rundown of who is in the fold and what their outlook might look like for playing time this fall. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/longformarticle/oregon-ducks-ducks-football-isaiah-world-bear-alexander-dillon-thieneman-makhi-hughes-249548406/
  16. I wonder how often he kicks with hang time. Lots of line drive bouncers in the middle of the field in his YouTube highlights. I don’t know how to link them. Could he be a situational punter for us?
  17. Punting at the spring game was beyond bad.
  18. This could mean something now: Apparently Sarr has started following Nate Bittle on Instagram.
  19. We all know that stats do not guarantee performance but..... League play only Grinsell 1.81 ERA first in the league Reitz 3.67 ERA 8th Dzierwa 3.69 ERA 9th Iowa has 3 pitchers in the top 15, pretty impressive
  20. Oregon absolutely needs to host a Regional...hopefully instead of Oregon State. Oregon being Mo.2 at the Corvallis regional would be another case of OBD being absolutely screwed in a Playoff. The football was format and Oregon was unlucky enough to be No.1. But if Oregon's season goes the rest of the way as we expect it to, then seeding them No.2, in Corvallis, would be ridiculous. The other parallel of course would be that Coach Lanning said, Coach Was would see this a "great opportunity" and he'd be right.
  21. Everything going right is not unique to the Navy Seals, and everything definitely didn't go right when the Ducks won the first game. But Day can philosophize however he wants. Osu2 played great in the Rose Bowl, for a myriad of reasons, OBD didn't offer any resistance.
  22. Oregon's RPI has climbed to No. 27, the best all season. Even with that...the Ducks are a Regional No. 2 seed and projected to go to Corvallis--again. Our Quad 1 wins are great, but our Quad 2 & 3 losses are not. A No. 2 Regional seed means that Oregon is NOT in the top 16 in the nation? I hope this lights a fire under the team to go on a winning streak that makes a Regional hosting impossible to deny. PK Park Needs to Host!
  23. Out doing some early shopping, saw a Beav fan and his son, looked to be around 8. The kid pointed at me and kind of smiled...like maybe he wished there was a transfer portal for fans. Dad, grabbed his arm, not hard or anything, and they went off in another direction.
  24. I think that is an excellent observation, as an ERA won't always tell the full story. While it is 2.51....if he pitches as he did against those aforementioned two teams--it would help offset the home field advantage!
  25. MSU website said that Dzierwa is starting game 1 even though the last to series' he was the day 2 starter. Both times he got roughed up a little; Ohio St- 4 inn, 6 hits, 6 runs, 5 er Mich- 6 inn, 10 hits, 6 runs, 3 er He is obviously a good pitcher but are his stats a little inflated by playing lower quality opponents? Plus they have lost 4 in a row and Oregon has won 4, confidence a real big deal in baseball. Go Ducks!
