  1. I would rather have consistency! Do you actually think Stein is a dud?
  2. Ducks have to find a point guard! Richardson is not the answer he is better suited as a shooting guard. The fouls called on the Ducks were a little ticky tacky I thought. But the Ducks do need to play better defense. Bigs were caught flat footed at times. I saw a lot of reaching and grabbing by the guards too. I did like the one three one zone defense the Ducks came out with in the second half. With the bigs stacked one two three from the arc down the key to the baseline. It gave Arizona problems. Ducks got a few turnovers but they just couldn’t convert on the offensive end. The Ducks have to play with more intensity. Playing a step behind is never successful.
  3. When I heard that Harbors family wanted him to stay back east. I felt that was the straw that was going to break the back of the Oregon decision down. I personally think he made the wrong decision not to come to Oregon. He was a perfect fit for Oregon and NIKE. Got to move on now. It is good Pleasant decided to come to Oregon. I bet USC is fuming about that!
  4. Welcome to the new college football landscape. This stuff has been going on for decades. Back in the 70s I was recruited by LSU to play basketball. It was Dale Brown’s first year as head coach for the Tigers. I knew him from basketball camps I had attended with him. He was an assistant head coach at Washington State University at the time. He wanted to take me to LSU with him for his first year. So I go down for a recruiting trip. I was picked up at the airport by some LSU alumni people who said if I would choose to come to LSU they would give my a new car every year that I attended school there and played basketball . They drove we to another alumni’s home who was high executive at Converse shoe company he said after I graduated I would get a lifetime high paying job there. Then they drove me to another alumni who owned a bank in Baton Rouge. He handed me some spending money for the weekend and said if I chose to play basketball at LSU there would be an endless supply of money for me. I don’t think coach Brown was aware of it but I don’t know. This was for playing basketball! I can’t even imagine what a big time football player would have been offered ! It has always been there that dark under belly of alumni money. Now it’s out in the open for all to see with no NCAA sanctions to worry about.
