I heard a lot of rumblings about Leavitt's character being of concern. Not sure if that's true, but I could see DL pumping the brakes on Leavitt if indeed it was fact.

If this wasn't evident by the way their early miscues and fumbles bounced safely back into their possession, I don't know what to tell anyone, ha.

I really question what the hell they’re doing at practice at this point, knowing how thin we are in that spot.

I've been keeping my eye on the roster online, and as soon as a player hits the portal, they're removed from the roster. Limar & Hughes are both gone. Jay Harris is still on there, but I also read within the last hour that he's officially in the portal now, so it'll be interesting to see if his name still remains on the roster and if he stays with the team. This whole thing is crazy so it's probably useless trying to make sense of anything prior to kickoff Friday. In Dan we trust!

It's all over Twitter that Davison broke his collarbone. Not sure when, but most people are saying it happened in the 1st quarter of the Orange Bowl, which doesn't really make any sense.

I feel like this is the factor that's getting the most overlooked, considering the fate of the First-Round BYE teams last year.

All it took was reading this snippet of the video description for me to close the window less than 10 seconds in: "The upcoming Orange Bowl matchup between No. 4 Texas Tech and No. 5 Oregon is a clash of identities where the Red Raiders’ bruising physicality is poised to neutralize the Ducks’ finesse-based speed." Couldn't even take the time to do the bare minimum amount of research prior to making the video. Don't feed the trolls, gentlemen.

I live in the Harrisonburg area and several of my co-workers are JMU-alum, so it's sure to be an interesting couple of weeks, but I'm here for it! It's been plenty cold and nasty for the better part of the last month, including during their conference championship game Friday night. The weather won't be a factor, but the environment and the Autzen crowd will 100% affect them.

I always see the crowd argument come up again and again, but the fans are so elevated up off of the playing surface that it's got to be a complete non-issue. The only way this could be an issue is if the backdrop of the walls around Autzen are also black, and even then, I just don't see it being an issue. At the very most, the top portion of a player's helmet MAY blend into the crowd, and that's only if they're running a shorter route. It's not like Dante is sitting on the turf when he makes a throw. Like most everyone here seems to be, I'm also bored of the black. I miss nightmare green so much.

Is it bad that I dread the fact that we have another year with this set? They're bound and determined to make each week a different look than before, so the hodge-podge of looks yet to come doesn't exactly fill me with excitement. How we can have so many pieces of uniform to choose from, yet lack any uniformity beyond the base looks is crazy to me. But, like everyone always puts into perspective: there's no better looking uniform than a winning one.

Since that was last year's cancer uni, I don't know if it's "officially" part of this set or not, but that's definitely something I've been wondering. I'd love a dark green version of the modern set to change things up a bit. We're just so (somehow) limited with the number of options at our disposal.

I may be a little slow... Herbert, Nix, Mariota, DG.. who's the 5th?

I guarantee Stein will be good for one or two completely off-the-wall plays, per usual. Will they be productive is the massive question, as they always seem to be hit or miss. Hoping there's minimal rust for OBD to knock off, and the extra practice time and fresh legs pays dividends early and often!

Although I agree with all your outcomes, aren't we in the Cotton Bowl for essentially a home game for the 'Horns if we win the Rose Bowl? I know there was some confusion there on selection day, but the ESPN brackets show Cotton, unfortunately. I wish the high seed had the choice.

All this talk now makes me realize that there needs to be serious consideration to moving the Heisman ceremony to after the completion of the playoffs. It's supposed to be awarded to the best player in college football, but the award doesn't take into account what could be a team/player's most important 3/4 games of the year? Doesn't make much sense to me.

I'm hoping they have something in their pocket for deeper into the playoffs. I do feel like if they don't have a green version of that template that they're kind of regretting it at this point, since it feels like we haven't seen any of the throwback looks since the first half of the season. Kind of painted ourselves into a black/yellow (and white) corner in terms of modern looks. Also interesting that the white fly era has nightmare/iridescent numbers like our alternate whites have had for the past several years, but there's no dark green uni elements to be seen (as of yet?). Side note: I just realized, one of the nicer/cleaner looks that could come from this uni set is Chrome/White (fly era) jersey/Grey pants, and we likely won't see it because (assuming we win the CCG), we'll always be the higher seed, unless we opt to wear white.

Seems like the type to make bold claims just for the sake of attention.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this week's uni combo will be an ode to this anniversary.

As much as I would love this look, I can almost guarantee they won't wear the black lids this weekend. They've been practicing in the yellow helmets for weeks and have yet to wear them in a game (until this weekend, I'm guessing). I'm guessing Yellow/white/yellow or *fingers crossed* Yellow/white/green.

My fingers are crossed that we've got something special and unseen brewing that matches the new black/carbon lids we've worn a few times this season. The carbon doesn't go with any other uni elements we have, so I'm hoping it's not just one outlier helmet with carbon for the sake of carbon.
