  1. Agree. With Riley, they did better than USC is doing, but it was still a Heisman producer, not a win producer. If they don't start winning Sooner than Later it will be too late.
  2. Personally, I'll take the Fighting Ducks over the Fightin' Illini any day, particularly this Saturday. Illinois football has chance to cause chaos and reshape the College Football Playoff WRITINGILLINI.COM Seven games into the season, and the Illinois football team is in the hunt for the prestigious College Football Playoff. Those are words...
  3. Which college football program has it the worst right now? - On3 WWW.ON3.COM Which college football program is in the more dire position right now? Candidates are Auburn, Oklahoma, Michigan, Florida State...
  4. Darren, at this point, to discuss USC is to disparage USC, Joel Full of KLATT says their ""4 plays from being undefeated", but JFOK also was sure that Oregon would struggle at Purdue, so credibility there. Of course this isn't new. LA columnists have been sounding the alerts about USC football for years. Former Trojans are sick of seeing their legacy tarnished. Yeah, they just got another Heisman to put in Heritage Hall, that's what Riley does. But they aren't winning, and TV? The Trojans are on at 8:00, on Friday this week against Rutgers, while the Lakers and Dodgers are playing. DAT picked Oregon over USC, and Oregon has been taking the best from Bosco and Mater Dei ever since. USC football commits are turning into gymnasts with their flipping skills. It never rains in Autzen Stadium, and the Coliseum is leaking.
  5. Oregon is now becoming what I hear being called a Force Multiplier when it comes to recruiting. Great players want to play together, when one of them signs with a team, others get in line, add to that Oregon's Brand, Division Street, for NIL, recruiting is going to get better and better and better...
  6. Thibodeaux in 2019, Zion Elee in 2026? Oregon Trending for Nation's No. 1 Ranked Player in 2026 - On3 WWW.ON3.COM Oregon is trending to land the nation's No. 1 ranked player in the 2026 recruiting class per the On3 rankings.
  7. As always, there are a lot of coaches on hot seats this season, at some pretty high level schools this time. As the coach of the team he brought up to No.1 in 2 & 1/2 years, of Course Dan Lanning will be No.1 on every teams list. But just as he silenced the talk about taking the Alabama job, leaving it for DeBoer, he'll do the same thing if offered again this year. Part of why I'm so confident about this is what I've seen in him since he's been at Oregon and I just don't see it. He's stopping Oregon from being a stepping stone job to a destination job, and he's planted his flag. Besides that, there was a topic just started about Lanning and his coaches having the No.1 recruiting class for 2026, that's thinking and working ahead. His plan is to make Oregon the No.1 team in the country for a long time.
  8. Yes, but needing a kick at the end is risky.
  9. In the L against Alabama & the W over Texas, we see that Kirby is the apple that fell closest to the Saban tree. DeBoer was outcoached by Kirby in his W over Georgia, and Kirby over Sark wasn't a surprise. We don't want to see Oregon have to play catch-up like Georgia did, but it looks like Kirby is Yoda to Dan's Luke Skywalker.
  10. Yeah, there's no Cristobal Prevent Offense going on here, this is calculated offense for the long season, and who's playing. Jordan James isn't going to break out on a 60 yard TD, but he'll pick up 60 in a time consuming drive.
  11. This is going to be a good day, it starts with Ohio State @ Penn State, 9:00 PST on Fox, then Oregon at Michigan, 12:30 PST on CBS. Later that night, though a half hour earlier for the Trojans than this week, U$C @ Washington, 7:30 PST. on the B1G 10 Network.
  12. This is how I see it as well. 2 top 20 W's each for Oregon and Georgia, but there's that L to Alabama. A good loss, but as Herm Edwards said, "You play to win the game!"
  13. In a moment of delirium I thought it would be great if UW spoiled Indiana's GameDay by beating the Hoosiers. But then I woke up and said "NO!" I am all Indiana all the way. I'd much rather have OBD go against them, homefield though it may be, than against Ohio State again. But I think Ohio State beats Penn State and Indiana.
  14. Alabama, USC, Oklahoma...Ohio State
  15. I'm happy you're a Duck
  16. 12:30 2 weeks in a row? It's like Oregon is No.1 or something.
  17. Once again, the Drippy Dogs are on "GameDay" as the visiting team, "Yeah, your water dish is over there."
  18. The Lynx coach is Full of KLATT!
  19. Washington fans admitting that Oregon is actually good, Trojan fans and former players can't believe what is going on with their team, all the while Oregon sits at No.1. It's Oregon B1G Time!
  20. Oregon was dropped for not looking dominant in their first two wins, one of them against a top 25 team. Miami has been gifted 3 W's, against unranked teams, and they're No.6? Indiana at No.11, should definitely be higher than Miami. No.25 Vanderbilt, at 5-2, including a win over No.16 Alabama, should be higher than Miami. Alabama hasn't been great the last two weeks, but they're better than anu team Miami has played.
  21. Oregon absolutely deserves to be No.1, you going to give it to Miami? Wins over Boise State and Ohio State, without their best defensive player? The real injustice is that Miami is ranked higher than Indiana. Georgia has a loss but is rightfully No.2. For now, no team deserves No.1 more than Oregon. Undefeated, 2 wins over top 25 teams, Heisman candidate at QB. Handled the trap of going across the country, after a huge win, on a short week, and shut out Purdue, who scored 49 the week before. Yes, Oregon is No.1.
  22. Very true, which brings me to the Lynx coach saying the WNBA "Title was stolen!" doesn't track. For the whole game, the Liberty couldn't hit a shot, yet the Lynx only had a 7 point lead at halftime. The Liberty took the lead in the second half, and at the end of the game, the title was "stolen" by officiating?
  23. Very grudgingly. The paws must have hurt typing that, but through all those barks it came through.
  24. I can understand this. But last night Texas didn't look like a dominant team Georgia was definitely the better team last night, but they got beat by Alabama, who lost to Vanderbilt and Tennessee. How about Ohio State? Nah. I don't think there is a truly dominant team this season. Idaho, yeah, not so good. But Boise State's only L is to Oregon. I miss the Mariota years too, up 42-6 at halftime was great. But they didn't it get done. They could never control the line of scrimmage, both sides against Ohio State, and outrush, out pass, out explode them, and as far as innovate. How about that onsides kick and the Lanning Rule? Being No.1? I want the Ducks and the fans to get used to it.
