  1. Oh yes, many a time in my years in the Navy, I observed this often. The smart ensign's and LT's listened to their seasoned Sr, Chief when it came to getting things done. My first LT, Nicholas Granville Purrinton lll, wouldn't have known Bow from Aft, without Sr. Chief Lopez.
  2. If it's contingent on the Utes beating the Buckeyes, I think Coach W will still be at Utah.
  3. That makes sense. It could be that I'm seeing who Alabama wants. But, if Dabo has the coaching gene to take on a challenge, and it being his "Dream School"?
  4. Solid prognostications there, the Trumpets will be blaring for the battle of 1st year coaches with SC & the Golden Domers.! Good job to Utah for getting the H & H with Florida, and it sounds like the Utes could have a new coach?
  5. I see the confusion, I didn't mean if only had it been read by Mullens to suggest he didn't read it, but that it would have been better if he had been the only one to read it.
  6. They might. But Mullens has his coach and Wilcox has shown he's not a spotlight seeker, I feel that both just want to move on.
  7. Agree Charles, and I also match Muldowney in his order of importance Cyrus Moss has been No. ! from Day One,. The top teams have shown us that there cannot be too many great WR's,and Jahlil Florence is a recent de-commit, and above his talent, another WR, Darrius Clemons, is from Portland.
  8. He has Michigan DE, Aidan Hutchinson, staying home and going No.1 to Detroit, KT is No. 2, to Texas.
  9. The Elephant in the room that Lanning, at Georgia, and now at Oregon, and all of college football, has to deal with is this one: . I'm hoping that the last few seasons, and the beat down, Alabama applied on his defense in the SEC Championship game, told him that his offense has to score points!
  10. Darren, I agree that the Harrington Letter was misguided. But only because it was intercepted and published. Had it been seen only by Mullens, as intended, I believe he would have read and appreciated the feelings of concerned Ducks legends. What would Alabama do? I actually think they'll go where I didn't want Oregon to go. Back to a former player for their next coach. This player didn't have as solid a playing history at 'Bama as Justin Wilcox did at Oregon, but his coaching career has been spectacular. I think that Dabo Swinney will return to his alma mater and replace Nick Saban. Clemson's good, but it isn't Alabama.
  11. I can see where you can say this, But Leach only wins so much. While his offense is hard to defend because it's different than any other, it isn't different enough for his teams to win conference titles. Leach was high scoring, Cristobal ran out the clock, neither made in game adjustments. It didn't matter who the QB was for Leach's teams, or the WR's he threw to, they looked the same. As many yards and as many points Leach's teams scored, the assembly line characteristic and lack of wins, bored me from afar.
  12. The Chargers are 2nd to the Rams in LA, just like the Clippers are second to the Lakers. Both share their stadium with the other, but it's a 25%- 75%.split. At Chargers home games, the other teams visiting fans have outnumbered Chargers fans. ESPN is about ratings, and as the Chargers improve, and "Howitzer Herbie" keeps setting records the attention will be there.
  13. This is a great place to do that...Chargers Twitter
  14. The consensus is that when Rodgers, and if Brady ever retires, Justin will be the best QB in the NFL. He can run, makes every throw, and had the team believing in him from his first game, when nobody expected him to be there.
  15. Well, having seen too many of these recently, that was the best. This is comparing against hindsight of course but Lanning really looked like a guy who landed his dream job at Oregon.
  16. 5 Takeaways from the Oregon Ducks' Hiring of Dan Lanning as Head Coach Ducks Wire Zachary Neel
  17. Hopefully it will be on the Pac-12 Network, in place of the replay of last night's basketball game against Stanford.
  18. Yes it did, thanks to Nick Farley, and Kenjon's decision to go the wrong way. It was a theme that the defense didn't break in the big games, the offense stalled.
  19. I won't say that's the only bad part. But I agree completely that it was the worst.
