  1. The last time, and only time, that Oregon lost to the eventual N Champ was 2014, to Scooby and the rest of the Wildcats. I remember this game seeming worse than the 31-24 score indicates. But Oregon set things right, mauling the 'Cats, 51-13, in the Championship Game. There was nothing vague about the L to the Utes and whether it will motivate or disintegrate Oregon's desire is what we'll find out.
  2. To call what Sankey spewed Malarkey is an afront to Malarkists everywhere! "I still think earning your way in is the right approach," he said, per Nicole Auerbach of The Athletic. This self- serving rapacious glutton would have us believe that being picked by a committee is to earn a more valid Playoff spot than is winning a conference.
  3. Seems simple doesn't it? Cincy being in contention is worse than Alabama with 2 L's being considered. Most of Cincy's W's have been against teams that Alabama plays on its Cupcake weekend.
  4. It's sad that UCLA doesn't care enough about football for Chip's seat to ever get warm. UCLA Football is C List in LA.
  5. Looking at Larry, he didn't seem like the kind of guy who'd sit down with you and, "talk football" GK isn't screaming that either, but it's early. UO Pres. Schill, at least acts like a fan, and stays out of Mullens' way. OSU's Admins are busy as Beavers. But, yeah, Cal, Stanford? Oregon and USC are close, and gag, maybe Washington to being perennial contenders. But do any of the others really have a chance of reaching and sustaining a championship level?
  6. They would suffer in USC getting better by getting better players. But in recruiting itself, those 9 other teams and USC aren't going after the same players.
  7. I think you're right, for 9 of the other Pac-12 schools, how USC recruits doesn't affect them. Oregon will be the one directly affected, but not to a damaging degree.
  8. I love it when my Man, Todd McSham can be brought up again, it doesn't matter if he's wrong. He has Mock Draft 1 to 32. Nobody else can possibly have a job as meaningless but pays as well as McSham does.
  9. Riley's great success at recruiting at Oklahoma might be irrelevant. I don't think that Pete Carroll liked recruiting anymore than Chip did when he was at Oregon. The SO.CAL. kids will go to SC when it's cool.
  10. And really, the only reason that Miami is interested in him is because he went there. It's "Good" that your coach is coveted by other schools, but Mario isnt coveted yet,
  11. Exactly, the "Sources" the "Insiders" are hot button covers for really not knowing anything. I think it's always been quite more likely that Mario would stay. But none of these guys are going to get any action by saying that. They don't know anything, and care about it even less.
  12. It's Miami now, and Ole Miss would probably beat them But Kiffin could bring back The U , and Ole Miss is an also ran in the SEC. Over in the Florida sun, Kiffin and The U and Clemson would be the glamor schools.
  13. That's right, but for the last few years USC has been dormant. It is going to take more than USC and Oregon brands and success to measure up to the SEC, the B1G usually has 4 or 5 teams in the mix. Getting USC going again is a start that the Pac-12 needs.
  14. Thank you for helping all our breathing, Charles and great work, Mullens and the rest of the Athletic Department!
  15. Yes, and with neither team having a genuine shot at The Invitational, and on Friday, TV numbers are trending down. Vegas is great for the basketball tournament, a lot better than when it was at the Staples Center.
  16. Yep, the course that is taking Michigan to the Playoff. Harbaugh is a quarterback, so a different DNA than is Mario.
