Williams, Duarte: Game Time Decisions For ASU
After seeing this last Saturday, I don't know if even the most optimistic would have thought that there was a chance that Chris Duarte would be playing against ASU on Thursday. But, in this article from Duck Territory, there's a chance that Duarte and Eric Williams could be back.

No. 5 in ESPN's 2021 Pre-Season Poll? Whew!
Maybe, but it's a poll based wholly on speculation and whatever else, to generate a response in February.

So Wise....Herbert to Learn More from the BEST
Justin is doing us proud! This is just another example of what a great kid he is. He comes in to the season, not even expecting to play, he ends up setting NFL records, wins the ROTY, and rather than sit back and relax, he's working to get better!

Mariota Trade: Are the Patriots a Good MATCH-UP?
I don't know. I think that if Belichick got Marcus to New England than he would scheme the offense to suit Marcus's strengths.

No. 5 in ESPN's 2021 Pre-Season Poll? Whew!
I'm fine with it. It's a "way too early poll" and as the saying goes, "any publicity is good publicity". I'm much happier seeing Oregon at No. 5, then down at No. 23. I don't know how much players/teams are affected by these rankings. I certainly believe that fans care a lot more about them then do the teams, players and coaches.

Whoa! Look who is Picked to be POY in Pac-12 for 2021
Bring on the Heisman! KT is in a position where he can dominate a game and amass stats. It sure would be great to have JTT with him!

Tyler Shough the THIRD BEST QB in Pac-12?
Sports live on statistics, but it's a perilous way to go. When you say, "50% of the time it works" you are also saying that, "50% of the time it doesn't work". Shough's season is the perfect illustration, the first 3 games, he played very well, by the 4th game his performance was slipping and it just got worse. In this case, the eye test is not flawed, we aren't imagining a hypothetical outcome. We're simply remembering what Shough looked like in the last four games of the season and weighing the season stats accordingly.

Oregon Women’s Basketball Searching for Identity
Very true, a coach can't coach up a leader, KG is right, it has to be organic. Sabrina Ionescu, among her abundance of skills, had leadership from the start. We're seeing again how hard it is to appreciate where this current team is, when Oregon's best basketball team in history, is still so fresh in our minds.

Could OREGON be the Next Tampa Bay?
"It" Some have it, some don't. Helfrich never looked comfortable, not on the sidelines, not in the chair during his postgame comments. Cristobal, while far from perfect, has, "it". Brady definitely has, "it", and it looks like Justin Herbert has "it". Joe Montana, famously had "it" in the huddle before the game winning drive in Super Bowl XVl against the Bengals, Joe Namath in Super Bowl lll. You can't coach "it" up. A player has it or he doesn't and it isn't limited to quarterbacks.

Oregon Women’s Basketball Searching for Identity
I think a part of why, "they look a bit uncoordinated" is that for the majority of the time, the plays have broken down, and Prince and Sabally are scrambling, trying to salvage something out of a possession. By focusing the offense through them, finding, the identity, they, and the entire team, will appear much more coordinated.

Oregon Women’s Basketball Searching for Identity
Completely agree about centering the offense inside, there was no doubt in the game against Arizona. The Lady Ducks shot 20% on 3's, but inside, Prince and Sedona are very hard to stop. The 3 doesn't need to be eliminated, but by running the offense inside-out, it will draw the defense under the basket, making the 3 even more open. The great teams and coaches play to their strengths, and for this team it's Prince and Sabally.. Prince reminds me of Bill Walton, especially when she tosses in her turnaround jumper at the basket, she is also a very good passer. Nyarra isn't her sister, who is? But, particularly against UC Davis, she has shown the ability to take over a game, in all sorts of ways.

Why Oregon Has To Play Ohio State In 2021
The Seawolves play in the Colonial Athletic Association. Prior to that, the Seawolves were a part of the Big South Conference, where they won the championship of this FCS Conference five times, 2005, 2009-2012. In 2012, the Seawolves beat a 2-10 Army, 23-3. The CACA did not play games in 2020, in 2019, Stony Brook finished, 5-7.

A Podcast With Haley Cruse
Haley is an Oregon star. She's been a Duck since 2017, didn't leave after White went to Texas,(and every day I'm happier that he did). She's led the team in hitting for 3 straight seasons, career .373 average, she was hitting .457 when last season ended, and she's very good defensive player.

Why Oregon Has To Play Ohio State In 2021
The 2020 season for the Ducks was going to be great, North Dakota State, and Ohio State at home! But that didn't happen, this article explains why the Ducks and the Buckeyes playing is crucial in 2021. From NBC Sports Northwest

Could OREGON be the Next Tampa Bay?
Yes. He got the MVP for "managing" what the KC defense gave him. The MVP should have gone to one of many Buccaneers defensive players.
-
Could OREGON be the Next Tampa Bay?
At no point in his career has Brady been the most athletic guy out on the field.
-
Could OREGON be the Next Tampa Bay?
Well, as Todd McShay proved, you speculate about quarterbacks at your peril, a lot of people thought that kid, Marcus Mariota, would be really could. Based on the highlights I've seen and the comments I've read, I think that Thompson could be more than capable of that great quarterbacking play that we want; more than any quarterback at Oregon since Mariota.

Will tOSU game be made up?
tOSU and the other teams in the B1G have revised the conference schedule, but did not address non-conference games.

Arizona 79 Oregon 59
Very true, though to Arizona's credit, this was their first game since January 22.

Could OREGON be the Next Tampa Bay?
There is no question about it, how well the quarterback plays is the major determinant of how successful the offense will be. Kellen Moore at Boise State demonstrated this very well. Tampa Bay didn't make the playoffs two years ago, Brady shows up and they win the Super Bowl. Look back at 2007, what Dixon was doing for the Ducks before his injury stopped an offense that no defense had been able to. We've also seen the opposite; all the quarterbacks who filled in for DD, Braxton Burmeister. The quarterback battle going in to 2021 is going to be something we haven't seen for a long time at Oregon, and who emerges is going to have a lot of pressure on him to lead the team to, at the least, a 3-peat as Pac-12 champion.

Arizona 79 Oregon 59
The Ducks hadn't led, but they had it down to 1 point at halftime. Unfortunately, the Ducks would never lead in this game, as Arizona outscored Oregon, 27-14 in the third quarter. Arizona shot 50.8 %overall, 60.) % on 3's. Oregon shot 32.4 % overall, 20.0 % on 3's. The exception to the shooting was inside, where Prince & Sabally combined for 64.7 % and 27 points. Moving forward, maybe they should get more shots. From GoDucks.com
