  3. Everybody is welcome to give their opinion here, but I think you might be in the minority on this one.
  4. I don't think it is that bad, and rather than make pronouncements--I'd rather wait and see what we get as a conference. In all probability--it will be a nice 5-6 year stop gap of revenue for Oregon until bigger decisions are made. I mean, it's a short drink of revenue...what could go wrong?
  5. "The Pac-12 remains engaged with multiple media partners, per sources. Those include streaming services, which have developed a reputation for deliberate contract negotiations, in part because they don't have the same decades of experience in the space as traditional networks." So how about that? What Canzano reported is being confirmed, and as for Dennis Dodd?
  6. 27% on three pointers? Don't we have enough bad shooters already?
  7. Yup. And Beaver fans will be hoping to chant that at PK Park this weekend... (Oregon is ranked 25th and OSU is unranked) (But they won't be able to!)
  8. In Eugene on Comcast--the game is not on the Pac-12 Network. However it is on streaming, and that quality has been excellent all season. The Ducks are building a great NCAA resume' with a Strength-of-Schedule at No. 4 in the nation, with an RPI of No. 11, thus if we keep winning.... Beat those Blasted Beavers!
  9. This is a very important point below that Canzano pointed out, and we are what....14 months out from expiration of our contract? Was Dennis Dodd wringing his hands when that media deal dragged on? "A Pac-12 source reminded me on Wednesday that the Big Ten Conference didn’t finalize its new media rights agreement until last August — only 11 months before the expiration of its deal. The Pac-12’s current media-rights contract doesn’t expire until July 1, 2024. Keep that in mind while we wait."
  10. (This was actually written by Jon Joseph, and I am posting it for him.) Dear Rob Mullens, Auburn plays at CAL in 2023. Florida plays at Utah. Wisconsin plays at Washington State. Arizona concludes a home-and-home series with a game at Mississippi State. For the next 6 seasons, Oregon's big-time OOC opponents are B12 teams that were not deemed worthy of joining the B12 when Oklahoma and Texas announced they were leaving for the SEC. Not fit to join 'The Elite Club.' (BTW, karma's a witch, no?) Texas Tech, Baylor, and Oklahoma State do not move the financial needle as would home-and-home series versus Power 2 teams, teams from the B1G, and the SEC. As an Oregon fan, I have to ask if you even attempted to schedule more worthy opponents. Opponents who will bring in $4M plus viewers. Opponents that are must-watch TV. At a time when Oregon needs to aggressively market its football team, you have dropped the ball. GO DUCKS!
  11. C'mon Duck Fans! Rally around this team! Note how a home run is rewarded by wearing a football helmet! This Oregon Baseball team is coming together, with a ton upside still left. We have just finished the first-ever sweep of Arizona in Tucson, which included the biggest comeback (from 10 runs down) ever in the history of Oregon Baseball. While the football team played its first game in 1893, the first athletic contest ever for University of Oregon was in 1877 in Baseball against Monmouth College. (Now Western Oregon University) The hitting this year is amazing, and very fun to watch these hitters over .300! SS Drew Cowley .309 RF Rikuu Nishida .326 CF Colby Shade .366 3B Sabin Ceballos .372 LF Tanner Smith .376 And others so close... C Josiah Cromwick .298 1B Jacob Walsh .293 And the ERAs of some relievers! RHP Matt Dallas 2.70 RHP Matthew Grabmann 1.50 LHP Ian Umlandt 1.80 RHP Austin Anderson 0.75 RHP Josh Mollerus 0.00 Yes...you saw that right. Our stud closer has not had a single run scored against him! WOW! Josh Mollerus is just nails in the clutch! We knew we had a young, untested pitching staff coming into the season when two starters were lost to injuries, and the third from last year graduated. The pitchers are improving, although we have a new starter to yet emerge from the pack. Meanwhile some of these young-guns look exciting in their time relieving. How do you watch? Download the app for your cell phone, or go to GoDucks.com and click on "Sports," then "Baseball," and then click on "Schedule" and scroll down to the next game and click on "Watch" as I do. Today Our Beloved Ducks play at 5:05 PM against a very good Portland team!
  12. The odds for Nix are the same for the 2023 team making the four-team playoff: low. Only if the team goes undefeated, scores a ton, (I agree with Drake) and Nix lights it up can he and the Ducks have a chance. And if the Ducks did go undefeated--both parties would deserve those rewards! But it is possible!
  13. No thanks. I would much rather meet the Dawgs in a Playoff game in a few years when our transition is complete. I have a ton of respect for Georgia!
  14. Yes we have one. And he is arrogant in his disdain for what you write of. After all, WE ARE OREGON. (In his view)
  15. Nah, I don't agree. Mac Court could not last with the way it was wearing down, and the seating was so cramped it just killed my knees. If Altman was winning like in 2017...Matt Court would be filled. We want winning basketball and know when we see it--not just in wins, but smarts and hustle. I believe Dana is still figuring out how to navigate this new portal environment and that of one-and-dones. I see Mark Campbell won 24 games at a Sac State team that was terrible when he took over and now is going to TCU. I often wonder how dependent Graves was to him, and how dependent Dana was to assistants that have left?
  16. This is precisely what I have experienced on the forum. I am sad to report that I banned two MODERATORS two weeks ago; one for two weeks, and the other permanently. These are people who know the rules, broke one, and instead of taking a notification like a man and thus we move on and forget about it--they choose to fight with me about it in several ongoing emails. When I explained that the rules pertain to all, and that as moderators--I should not have to tell them that--the push-back became extreme. The problem was with ME, not the rules, not them breaking it...which is what everyone says. What cartm25 wrote is exactly what everyone thinks...even moderators. The one I banned for two weeks is someone I really like and care about, but I doubt he will be back. (Because the problem is with Charles, not the offenders) The other one has given me grief before, and nowadays--I have a low tolerance level. After all...I am asking for something really extreme, like civility. As I've written before, we have a very selfish culture now, and it runs with all genders, and all ages. (I banned an 82 year old retired Federal Prosecutor a while back) All for the same reasons... "Charles....you will have nobody left at this rate!" Yep, and those who are remaining value civility, and don't give me trouble. I am not going to be babysitting adults. If I knew what I was in for a year and a half ago? I would not have started this forum. Nobody would want to deal with over 300 violators in that time... My lesson? I was completely wrong in my analysis of what people wanted on the web; I thought most people wanted civility? Wrong. Most people on the web do NOT want to be "polite and respectful", and that is a sad fact I've learned.
  17. He is like Chip Kelly, but not. Like Chip Kelly he wants to use "Core Plays at Key Moments" so there is less chance of error. But unlike Chip Kelly, Will Stein is quite a bit more innovative and willing to throw the ball when the first down is needed. My axiom; "First downs at the end of the game are as important as touchdowns earlier in the game. Without both you don't win..." THANKS to Coach Smith for posting this!
  18. Ranks right up there as one of the most incredible come-backs I've seen! Oregon put up huge numbers last weekend, and Waz was telling us that the Northwestern State pitchers were actually quite good. Not many of us believed him, as we discounted the opponent. Well, the Ducks just put 15 and 13 on ARIZONA, thus this group of Oregon hitters is a sight to see. The Ducks pounded seven runs last night on a projected Top-100 MLB Draft prospect, so Oregon is for real!
  19. I believe the legislation requires Oregon to take little brother with us to another conference, should we leave the Pac-12 and this bill is passed. Little Brothers are such a pain...
  20. I do not trust the source; this is the guy who said that he heard ahead of time that the B1G was going to invite USC and OREGON. Really? And Robbins said nothing to anyone? We were all blindsided by the departure except this mouth? Some who come up short just want your attention...
  21. Like Dillingham and Lanning on 4th down...."we need an adult in the room."
  22. Great point. We have had no leaks about the process, what everyone knows, etc....until now. Robbins is an unprofessional loose cannon, and someone needs to tell him to...
  23. You have to consider the writer; he has been exposed on this forum as one who does NOT use sourced reporting, and deals in rumor. He is a tool looking to hurt the PAC-12 at every opportunity.
