  1. Look at these updated numbers...he is not a skinny guy at 5'11"...but he is 6'3" and 195? A 4.36 forty-yard-dash and ran 10.15 in the 100 meters in high school two years ago? He's got strength and hops? And he was NOT part of the No. 2 ranked recruiting class for 2026!
  2. You may have noticed that I am not "hovering" over the forum like I usually do, in fact I have been MIA for up to a complete day at a time lately. Like many of you--I have work projects and commitments to attend to, as well as the background stuff that has to be done for the two sites. And frankly, it is going to get much worse over time thus... THANK YOU for Posting New Threads! I really appreciate many of you starting new threads for discussion, and I want to say thanks, and to encourage everyone to join in. To start a thread and write a title....please remember two things with a title: First, web metrics tell us that readers will not open a thread unless they know what is in it in advance. So please don't give us a nebulous title that could mean anything; you want people to read your thread, so tell us what the topic is about, and people will open and read your thread. Below are great examples... Penn State AD Pat Kraft Despises Oregon by DrJacksPlaidPants...Not only did he tell us the topic, but he made it tasty, and you can't help but want to open it immediately. B1G Championship Game Thread by OregonDucks...He got the GameDay thread started of what we wanted to discuss, and I very much appreciate it as I was detained elsewhere when the game began. Second....Please, please Capitalize the first letter of every major word in the title. You can leave the inconsequential words, (as, and, the, in, etc.) in lower case, but putting caps on the rest helps other good people like YOU find this forum from Search Engines. A great example... Myriad of Topics: Notre Dame, Sixteen Team CFP, and G6 Representation by GatOrlando...This is perfect across the board, and no surprise as GatOrlando has been an MVP on this forum with his posting and insights. With that...we have SO MANY great OBD members who post so well, and not only do I thank you, but urge you to keep doing so. We all have each others' back here, and I sure am grateful that so many people step up to help. You Been So Good to Me...
  3. OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2025 FOOTBALL | @OregonFootball Autzen Stadium To Host College Football Playoff Game EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon football team will play one final game in Autzen Stadium this season as the Ducks were announced on Sunday as the No. 5 seed in the 2025 College Football Playoff field. Oregon will host No. 12 seed James Madison in a first-round game on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 4:30 p.m. PT (TNT/TruTV/HBO Max). It will be the first College Football Playoff game in Autzen Stadium history as well as the first meeting between Oregon and James Madison. Season ticket holders will have until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 8, to secure their season ticket holder locations. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Visit www.GoDucks.com/CFP for more information on tickets, parking and more. Oregon will make its third all-time appearance in the College Football Playoff, and second in a row. The Ducks are one of four schools to have earned a CFP spot in each of the first two years of the expanded 12-team field. The winner between Oregon and James Madison will advance to the CFP Quarterfinals to face No. 4 Texas Tech at the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day. Visit www.collegefootballplayoff for the full bracket and details for the 2025 College Football Playoff. Oregon finished the regular season with an 11-1 overall record, earning 11-plus wins for the third year in a row and double-digit victories for the fifth consecutive season. The Ducks had wins over two teams in the final College Football Playoff top-25 rankings – No. 16 USC and No. 23 Iowa – and their lone loss came to top-ranked Indiana. The Ducks rank in the top 15 nationally for scoring offense (9th, 38.2 PPG), total offense (13th, 465.2 YPG), scoring defense (8th, 14.8 PPG) and total defense (4th, 251.6 YPG), and are top 10 in both total yards per play (9th, 7.08) and total yards per play allowed (6th, 4.16). Oregon is also the nation's most complete terms in terms of explosive plays, ranking third in plays of 20-plus yards (82) and second in 20-plus yard plays allowed (24). Oregon went 6-1 at home in the regular season and is 25-2 in Autzen Stadium under head coach Dan Lanning. The Ducks are 54-4 at home since the start of the 2017 season. I watched the games on Friday, and thought that, 1) Tulane was MUCH tougher than JMU, and 2) a second G6 team in the field is a joke. I do not think JMU will be that much tougher than Montana State, although December in Autzen will be difficult for both competitors.
  4. You gotta love new Big-10 rivalries forming... It fits me to a "T"! (Referring to the Penn State AD remarks)
  5. I know there is another thread about our potential OC, but it was getting long and time for a new thread. Below is the latest...
  6. Oregon has the No. 3 ranked receiver in the nation along with the No. 15th best receiver in the US signed in this class. Plus we add Brandon Bair, one of the fastest players in America, to the team this fall as well as he returns from a two-year mission. So next year we have Evan Stewart, Dak, McClellan, and a ton of talented freshmen. We are in GREAT shape at receiver... Evan Stewart
  7. I hear you, but we need to let those who trickle in over the next day or so see the news. It will naturally drop...
  8. Snippets from this On3 article are... The 21st signature of Oregon’s 21 commitments in the 2026 recruiting class is in. On Thursday, Oregon officially announced that 5-star Lucas (Tex.) Panther Creek wide receiver Jalen Lott had signed with the Ducks. Lott, Rivals’ No. 2 wide receiver, has been committed to Oregon since July, but his paperwork did not come through on Wednesday and the Ducks did not announce him officially in their class. With Lott officially signed, all eyes are on 5-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver and Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr., who Oregon is trending for on the Rivals recruiting prediction machine. Rivals Eval on Lott Via Charles Power: Oregon commit Jalen Lott (No. 16) is one of the most athletic wide receiver prospects in the 2026 cycle and is in the midst of a big senior season at Frisco (Texas) Panther Creek. The 6-foot, 170-pounder is a high volume target who is a dangerous as a deep threat and after the catch. He’s an explosive long-strider who covers ground quickly. Lott is also competitive in contested catch situations. Through 11 games this fall, he’s caught 76 passes for 1,200 yard and 19 touchdowns, while increasing his yards per catch from 13.1 as a junior to 15.8 as a senior. Lott doubles as a defensive back and has high-end upside on that side of the ball, as well. On the track, he’s a state champion in the long jump (24-3.75 feet) and a 7-0 foot high jumper.
  9. I believe Ol' Buddy Ryan called the Run and Shoot, the "Chuck and Duck."
  10. The 247 Rankings.... (Both as of this moment) The On3 Rivals Rankings....
  11. Be still my heart.... I'm handling all this just fine...
  12. All five offensive line starters will be leaving after the season, thus the outlook will be dependent upon the portal. A great offensive line next year is not a shoo-in.
  13. While we have the other thread, the other sites are effectively taking the information from this site on GoDucks.com and the players will be listed as they sign through the day. Football - Wednesday, December 3 - Signing DayWednesday, December 3: Signing Day for University of Oregon Ducks Football As of 8:30 AM, eleven of the nineteen expected to sign are done already. For those who are new at this....every year we have players sign later in the day at their high school signing ceremony, so no need to panic. And...we typically flip a player or two, and have one or two flipped from us. As usual, the majority stick to their verbal commitment...
  14. Other candidates...a couple of good ones, and I did not know all of that about one Oregon assistant... 15. Good gosh...you are such a classy guy SoGaDawg, as you are handling this much better than I would...
  16. Doesn't bother me at all...
  17. Get paid millions to go away? Not what happens to me!
  18. If we could move up eventually to a number three seed, then I would take the bye. I just don’t want to face Ohio State until the finals…
  19. Agreed. A project like Michigan State would be a four or five year turnaround, but the patience factor is so extreme, and the expectations of a miracle…are crazy.
  20. Some of his throws were crazy accurate, and his passing percentage is hurt by at least four drops by the receivers. (20-29)
  21. Wow. I did not think that Oregon could break into the top four unless BYU upset Texas Tech, or Alabama beat Georgia next week. But what really matters, is what the playoff committee comes up with, although these two poll rankings will certainly be influential.
