  1. The thread referred to earlier disappeared, so here it is. Let's all refer to that one and add to it please... I liked this BYU uniform the best...
  2. (From Oregon Athletics Press Release) EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon’s first Pac-12 game of the 2022 season at Washington State on Saturday, Sept. 24, will kick off at 1 PM PT and will be broadcast on FOX, the conference office announced on Monday morning. The No. 25 Ducks (1-1) will host No. 12 BYU (2-0) this Saturday, Sept. 17, at 12:30 PM PT at Autzen Stadium, also broadcast on FOX. Oregon is coming off a 70-14 win over Eastern Washington last Saturday, the program's first win under new head coach Dan Lanning.
  3. I did not notice that, but saw a few-too-many missed blocks for my preference.
  4. Oregon is about to face it's highest rated opponent on the schedule this week, and I'd love to have more games under our belt before facing them. Yet while Oregon is "not there yet," we made more progress than I thought we would going into this last game with the Eagles. Nothing was perfect; while I liked the balance of running versus passing and the unpredictability of the play-calling...I would have liked to seen some downfield shots taken with Franklin and Thornton. The defense broke down on a number of plays, yet overall took a big step up. And we got to see a ton of newbies play, and it was fun to see Patrick Herbert out there making some good blocks. IMHO...we are not ready yet for BYU, but we made bigger strides than I thought. I don't like my gut-feel about this game, yet if we play well, it is at Autzen! So great to see Cam McCormick score...

  6. I am glad that Oregon can bounce back so quickly in the minds of the press. I see Georgia has overtaken Alabama for No. 1, and potential and future opponents are… BYU No. 12 Utah No. 14 USC No. 7?
  7. Naw. I love what I saw as well last night in so many ways--especially what he was telling the players....but I personally will always be doing critical analysis and describe what I think regardless of how it makes a coach look. I am not sympathetic as a coach could be sub-par and get paid millions. They know this is part of the job going in... We will disagree on this, and that is fine.
  8. I liked some of the wiggles by Walk-on Running Back No. 29 Kilohana Haasenritter!
  9. And the coach at Georgia-Southern who drove the last nail? Clay Helton!
  10. So glad to have your factual input with a conclusion--great information for us all. And gives us great hope...
  11. Agreed Jordan, and if it defines the Lanning era, it might be in how the team responded. I like what I saw at times, but other times I felt our offensive line missed more blocks than I would have liked going against a FCS team. But the vast majority of us saw a 20-24 point victory, not a 56 point spread. Thus they stepped forward in a great way. But I think a question does remain... Bo Nix's Picks: Can You Live With Them? FISHDUCK.COM Right now Oregon fans are almost swooning in a classic "honeymoon" phase with new head coach Dan Lanning before any games are played. To a degree...
  12. Florida Duck! The actual game stats were: Oregon 70-14 for a 56 point spread, and Florida Duck predicted a 65-14 score for a 51 point spread and pretty darn close to the actual score. Log Haulin and Steven A. were close with a 46 point spread, but Florida Duck was pretty impressive! (No need for tiebreakers this week--whew!) That was fun, and look for it on Friday again of this week versus BYU. And look for Alan's Saturday Spoof to come out on Friday since the game is at 12:30 on Saturday, and I want you all to have a full day to enjoy his extraordinary article. Defensive analysis coming out on Thursday by yours-truly, and a week of great articles from the FishDuck Staff. Do have great fun reading all the Oregon football articles today in the Famous FishDuck Feed!
  13. I agree with you, in that we love what we observed in the second game, but we still do not have a good reading on this team. As everyone has noted...the BYU game will tell us a ton more.
  14. Good grief. Can somebody tell Ted Robinson after all these years of calling Oregon games, that it is not YOU-gene, but it is pronounced you-GENE with the accent on the second syllable? But I should not be surprised...a decade ago in 2012, when Mariota pulled the ball on a Zone Read he shouted, "Great fake!"
  15. Here we are my friends, the thread for discussing the actual game as it happens. The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we like civilized discussion, and really don't want to read nonsense from other people. I have had to ban a few people in the past...simply because of this thread. They were fine during normal forum discussion, but turned into something ugly in this thread when things in the game did not go well. Posting negative is fine, but going dark on the entire program, the future of Oregon football, the IQ and tenure of Dan Lanning over one play, one decision or even one game is too far. Again, usual negative observations and opinions about the game are fine. No venting. Telling us you don't like the interception and adding some salt to it is fine, but hammering us many times in the thread about how stupid something is--will be deleted. This is a place to let go, but not vent. Can you tell the difference? When you write that Oregon is playing like crap, or sucks, etc....do you really think your astute observation is not already noticed by everyone else? When you are writing stuff like that...you are not adding comments or analysis, you are venting. Again....negative is fine! This is the hard part of moderating, and that is explaining how 95% of the negative written is just fine. What about being critical of the players/coaches? We can be critical of player performance and coaching decisions, but we cannot get personal on them. I really do want you all to have fun with this, and sorry for having to delve into it, but I know I need to spell this out for a few people. Now let's have some fun discussing this upcoming game of the Dan Lanning era!
  16. Texas ATM losing to App. State at home...is an absolute riot.
  17. I could have sworn I saw a rendition of this by USC fans toward Oregon recently....
  18. There was a Miami fan that I eventually banned because he refused to consider what we stated about Mari's style and game management. To him...we were missing out because of his recruiting, and we would regret the loss of Mari no matter what we said. He kept steering the conversation back to recruiting and would dismiss everything else. I told him to quit hijackings threads, and he then proceeded to lecture me by email, as if we did not know Cristobal. (Things did not go on much longer with that 'Cane fan)
  19. Yes. EVERYBODY can edit their own post within an hour of putting it up. Click the three dots in the corner, and click on "Edit" and the original post appears. I would ask everybody to fix their title, to fix the continuous text and to tighten up the bottom of their post so people don't have to scroll so much. All these items I request as a courtesy to the good people of this forum...as they are doing for all of us. All the rules here are designed for the ease of the readers... Right now...we have moderators who will fix titles, capitalize them as they should be, and I've done a lot of that too. But I am not everyone's damn editing-maid, as I have enough to do with getting and keeping the sites up. (Good question Mic, and the above is not directed at you)
  20. Southern Miss...what? For crying out loud folks...give us titles that tell the readers what the thread is about.
  21. Is this hell? No, it's Eastern Washington. Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! (For crying out loud guys....before you complain about the opponent--at least read Alan's amazing article first!)
