  1. And it is great to see her getting good playing time as a 6'8" freshman and against good competition. Someone to build a team around? 6'7" and 6'8"!
  2. If we win 10 games in Lanning's first year...we better count our blessings. We are very fortunate to watch a lot of WINNING at Oregon. I'd be Looking for the Catch...
  3. DenverDuck...it is great to have you on-board with such an uplifting first post. Do share your opinions often and WELCOME! And speaking of Lanning about the defense? You will get a tasty primer on his defense in an article tomorrow by Coach Boles!
  4. Thanks for posting that deschutesduck, and I just watched some video on him, and wow...has he got the jets or what? Offers from USC, Notre Dame and Florida along with half the Pac-12.
  5. WW...you make a great point. It seems that a number of people could confirm the story of the Arizona coach and player.
  6. Whoa. That clip certainly adds gasoline to the fire....
  7. Badmotherduck! Great to see you post for the first time, and do share your thoughts often. WELCOME! This could be where she yelled stuff at Graves concerning fouls, and he told her to "fly-a-Kite" and that prompted a finger? Who knows, but it is fun to ponder...
  8. That is a very nice article giving more to the 3-Star story.... Thanks Steven "A"
  9. To be fair...nobody gives the finger for no reason. What was said?
  10. Human nature is to know that the cliff is coming, but we delay and wait until we get to the edge of it....look down, and decide, "we have to come up with a solution without plunging into it." I am confident that human nature will play out; we will wait until it gets REALLY BAD, and then some event or two (the cliff) will finally prompt reform. And I will cheer Our Beloved Ducks on... NIL, Portal...no problem.
  11. Scoring 46 points against Top-Ten teams and she is not yet 100%? Whew! Thanks 30Duck.
  12. EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon will open the 2022 season ranked 16thin the D1 Softball preseason poll and will be led by a couple of players ranked among the nation’s top 100 by Extra Inning Softball. Defending national champion Oklahoma led the D1 poll, released Tuesday, followed by Alabama and Oklahoma State. The Ducks were one of five Pac-12 teams in the preseason rankings, including No. 4 UCLA, No. 7 Washington, No. 15 Arizona and No. 21 Arizona State. Coming off a 40-17 record and an NCAA Regional final appearance a year ago, Oregon will be led by Brooke Yanez and Allee Bunker, who were both listed among the nation’s “Elite 100” players, Extra Inning Softball announced Tuesday. Yanez, a fifth-year senior from Ventura, Calif., was an NFCA third-team All-American and a first-team all-Pac-12 pitcher in 2021. She finished second in the Pac-12 with 268 total strikeouts and led the conference with 10.29 strikeouts per seven innings. Yanez, an NFCA first-team all-Pacific Region selection, went 22-6 with a 2.11 ERA in 2021 while holding opponents to a .185 batting average in her 182.1 innings of work. Her 268 strikeouts are third in UO single-season history, behind only Cheridan Hawkins, who holds the top two spots. Bunker, a senior from Huntington Beach, Calif., earned both all-Pac-12 first team and all-Pac-12 defensive team honors at second base in 2021. She was also named to the NFCA second team all-Pacific Region team. Bunker led the Ducks with 49 RBIs, last season and tied for the team lead with 10 home runs. She hit .342 with 10 doubles, two triples and 36 runs. She was also one of the most difficult players in the nation to strike out, fanning six times in 200 plate appearances. Yanez and Bunker are two of the seven starters Oregon returns for the 2022 season. The Ducks also return catcher Terra McGowan, who hit .308 with 26 RBIs a season ago, outfielder Hanna Delgado (.302), Rachel Cid at third base (.288, 30 RBI) and outfielder Ariel Carlson, as well as infielder Jasmine Williams (the former Jasmine Sievers), who redshirted last season, but was an all-Pac-12 player for the Ducks as a freshman in 2019 after batting .326. Season tickets for the 2022 season are on sale now. Reserved seats are $150 and general admission is $100. The Ducks open the 2022 slate against Ole Miss Feb. 10 at Fullerton, Calif.
  13. I gotta get back in touch with a fellow who is a Track expert, who has written articles in the past about Oregon's chances to win the Indoor NC...
  14. Bellotti gets a half-million a year in income...guaranteed. This does not count the millions paid to him by the AD over the years.
  15. This is a blow because he was a future O-Lineman star in my mind, and perhaps he could see he may not play a lot this year, and thus is leaving? Or doesn't mesh with Klemm? Or perhaps the style of offensive lineman doesn't match-up with the new offense? Who knows? 16. Good stuff....got to savor this while we can! Thanks 30Duck.
  17. Sure. I am always looking for something new to do...
  18. We got to keep the 'MO going, and this hurts their progress. So...let's take it out on the Huskies!
  19. I have to think that this has never happened to one school between both genders. What a weekend for the Ducks!
  20. David, this is a GREAT point I had not thought of, and I would suggest it is damaging for teams trying to prepare for a bowl game AND recruit to the early signing date, usually around December 15th. I'll bet the coaches would tell us that the early signing date has made it harder for them, not easier. Add the major point that you brought up of coaches being fired or moving to another school and now the negatives are piling up over the positives? Great stuff to ponder--thanks.
  21. Hard Pass. He had his chance, and we do not have the scholarships to spare.
  22. On Rivals...it shows NO other schools recruiting him? We are the only offer? On 247 it shows offers from only Arizona State, Hawaii and Fresno State? That's not good.
  23. Or...as fans we can not think about it at all. I am only paying attention at a surface level in order to retain my intense fanhood and keep from going crazy.
