  1. I had to go over and check their board after our game with the Bastard Huskies, and I am seeing the same changes of attitude I saw from USC fans. They claim that Oregon is doing it because of money, (no surprise) but Washington fans acknowledge there is great coaching going on in Eugene. The absence the extreme level of malice that I used to see for years...is astounding. Frankly...it was hard to find much, and it was all pretty routine and underwhelming. Such a change from the past! "If Demond had a played a good game, not even great, we probably win." "UNike has a $40 million roster this season and the UW does not. Ohio State has far more blue chip talent than the UW does. The UW simply does not have that level of support in $$$ from its big wallet guys. Both OSU and UNike will be Top 5 in the CFP rankings..." (When USC and Washington fans complain about money...I laugh. There are more multimillionaires in the Seattle metro area than anywhere else in the US...other than Silicon Valley. All those tech companies? Huskies are lazy at raising money...) "For us old timers, how the Ducks did it was identical to what we would do to them under Coach James back in the day especially down in Eugene. It is the same formula the casinos use with their slot machines. Set them for the houses advantage, turn them on, and eventually after enough times and button pushes the house always wins." "This why I felt that there was very little chance that the Huskies could beat UNike yesterday. The talent difference is still just too great." "I said last week that I hate Oregon. Nothing changed after this game. The simple fact was Oregon was better than us Saturday. It kills me to say that. But they beat us in every phase of the game: Offense, Defense, Special Teams, and Coaching. They made plays when they had to do it. It’s a shame because this was a winnable game, we simply didn’t perform well enough to win and they did. I don’t see Oregon as a top team going into the playoffs, but they did what really good teams do and were able to finish us off." "Let’s go win a bowl game and carry momentum into 2026… and root for any team that plays Oregon in the CFP." "I used to think Tosh Lupoi was a slimster, but it today’s world he barely moves the needle on the slimo meter."
  2. Micro...you are very kind, as my needling of Beavis and the Bastard Huskies carry quite a bit more antipathy than the good natured fun the JMU site is having.
  3. So great to have an article contributed by a core member of this forum, Steven A.! I had not thought of where he was going with this, but he makes good points and conclusions. Our thanks for the article!
  4. Then don't read the "real-life" posts. People are just reporting the news...
  5. Oregon State are our brothers? No, we're NOT related....
  6. You are a new OBD forum member, and you noted in your bio your Oregon sympathies. But when I saw your handle name...while it is not something we usually condone--I thought it captured the spirit of how we love our school, and how we feel about the Bastard Huskies. Pretty clever! Welcome, and I look forward to your thoughts.
  7. Darren...you are so right. Oregon would have been hosed in the four-team system, just as ND was this year. Perhaps this will speed us to 16 teams, and no byes to open the Playoffs? No. 1 plays No. 16, and so on as usual seeding takes place. Yes the G6 teams can have a slot or two, but the big babies (SEC and ND) would have had all their wishes granted. And I love your writing style!
  8. Not many great coaches left and available...
  9. Our record speaks to good coaching on the offensive line, but it also speaks to fantastic recruiting out of the portal. It is easier to tweak an experienced O-Lineman, than the years it takes to develop one, IMHO.
  10. Originally, I did not want to remain a No. 5 Seed, but as it turned out--this was our best scenario and I cannot complain. Let's go win!
  11. Well, connections both good and bad. We have been attacked by global spammers from Russia, Pakistan, Vietnam and Germany recently. They have tried to register to mess us up, but my manual approval system now allows me to enjoy declining their application. On the positive side...I really appreciate everyone reading FishDuck.com articles, and ignoring the backlink sentence that helps to pay the bills. You know the sentence...something like, "Our Mr. FishDuck took a break from his degenerative addiction to a gambling site to weigh in on this topic." Know that I've NEVER actually gambled on any of these sites; I have vices, but not that one. We have THREE backlink orders this week, and they are global as well, from Sweden, Philippines, and Andorra. (Small postage-stamp ski-resort nation on the border of France and Spain) And....I do not allow backlinks to ADULT sites, but I have to admit that a site that invites you to create an AI girlfriend? I was tempted, simply for the timeliness and novelty of it. Just Giving THANKS to EVERYONE...
  12. Look how high his HEAD is to the rim....he doesn't have to dunk!
  13. Great article David. In the past, when we had such injuries on offense? We were cooked... But now with a defense, and better depth in the trenches--we can survive these games and build depth as newbies get PT. But when just ONE of the wide receivers return? Look Out!
