  1. Oh Geez. Am I embarrassed for Huskies? Naw.
  2. Below is from another site, and gives us pause. Have we been fooled by Hoosier success, or is the 'Cig' that good of a coach to outperform? For those worried about Indiana snapping the nation's longest home winning streak, here are a couple of stats for you: The collective record of the teams Indiana has beaten in the last two years is 45-63. Of their ten wins against FBS teams in the last two seasons, only 3 have come against teams that finished the regular season last year with a winning record or currently have a winning record this year. Those include 7-5 Michigan and 3-2 Iowa. Indiana's talent composite this year is No. 72 in the country. Thats lower than Ok State and Oregon State. Obviously they are echelons better than those teams, but still. Dan Lanning has lost 6 games in 4 years. Those losses came against the No. 3, No. 25 (x2), No. 2, No. 20 and No. 54 teams in talent composite. The one outlier there is 2022 Oregon State. (Three years ago...) Against teams not in the top 25 of talent composite Dan is 32-1. Not saying Indiana can’t win or that they aren’t a good team, but if they do win, it would be bucking every single trend we’ve seen in Dan Lanning and Curt Cignettis tenures. Sucking that lemon is sour? Wait until you get to Autzen...
  3. Fun to see the teeth-gnashing... USC Trojans On SIWhy Transfer Lineman Bear Alexander is Thriving at Oregon...The one that got away is now making noise in Eugene. Former USC defensive lineman Bear Alexander, once projected to be a centerpiece in the Trojans’ defensive r
  4. BTW....on his podcast--Colin Cowherd declared that, "Dante Moore is the Best Quarterback in America." Soak it up my Duck-Buddies....things change, but this is FUN!
  5. How do you negate the impact of 111,000 people? With GREAT coaching and preparation; simply elite.
  6. This throw, and this catch is just MONEY. Strong hands by Dak to secure and retain the catch, and leading the throw perfectly while on the run by Dante? Whew!
  7. QB was the difference, as Moore made a number of incredible plays, and in the end....who looked more like the three year starter, and who looked like a newly starting QB? If Moore was a 'Lion...they might be walking away as victors? But this also comes down to the assistant coaches, and Lanning has been superb at finding a-diamond-in-the-rough in Stein, that nobody heard of, (only a couple years out from coaching high school? That a jab at his hiring) but has become one of the best OCs in the nation. Small differences that show up at big moments...
  8. From the article.... "USC football's loss on Saturday was a brutal one. The Trojans played terrible defense, turned the ball over multiple times, committed too many penalties, and had poor clock management, ultimately leading to them falling to a less talented opponent. "You may have noticed that I did not specify which USC loss I was talking about. While in this instance, I was referring to the Trojans' 34-32 defeat at Illinois, there are seemingly countless games that the program has played under head coach Lincoln Riley that have met those exact same criteria." That really does get to the heart of the matter. The loss to Illinois was bad enough, but the worst part is how numbingly routine and constant these losses are. It's not isolated; it's part of a large and growing pattern. This isn't a merry-go-round; it's an error-go-round. It speaks to a culture where lessons aren't learned and failure doesn't sharpen coaches or players for the next game or season. It's a complete waste of time and talent and a scathing indictment of a coach who used to be really good at his job. Lincoln Riley has lost the ability to be a quality control manager, someone who gets his teams to maintain a high standard.
  9. John was there, and wrote a ton of complimentary things about Oregon in the process. Below is the question and his answer... (Other B1G schools won't like his answer) Q: Can you compare Autzen Stadium vs. Beaver Stadium? A: Autzen plays a little louder. I know it’s counterintuitive because it’s smaller in size. I’ve been to lots of stadiums (Ohio State, Michigan, etc.) that are much bigger, but somehow not as loud. Autzen is an echo chamber, and the acoustics make it more difficult for opposing teams to hear on the field. The sheer sight of 111,015 fans at Penn State’s home stadium was mind-bending. Beaver Stadium is about twice as big as Autzen and visually stunning. The tailgate was a never-ending sea of RVs, tents, flags, tables, fans, and every setup was more impressive than the one beside it. So, when we do "Shout"...the "a little louder now" part is TRUE!
  10. I am not going to drink everyone's Kool-Aid, but taking a sip once in a while is nice at the right moments. As fans, we are processing this win, and it is great to see other pundits offer words about Oregon that, we've never heard. Oregon Ducks "Penn State draws most of the attention, but Oregon proved the bigger point. This is one of the deepest, most talented rosters in the country, and Dan Lanning has been building toward this kind of win. Beating Penn State in a White Out is validation that Oregon can beat anyone." Dante Moore Dante Moore looks every bit like the program-defining quarterback Oregon has long sought. He completed 29-of-39 passes for 248 yards and three scores in one of the toughest road environments in college football. Heisman front-runner talk isn’t hyperbole. Moore and Oregon are terrifying.
