  1. If football did not begin to build resentment from the Old Guard in the B1G toward Oregon....the spring sports will most certainly generate some gnashing of Midwest teeth.
  2. 12-1 Ducks is the final, as Oregon run-rules Georgetown in the seventh inning. Umlandt went the entire way, and finished with 99 pitches and the sole run given up, while Carter Garate got his first home run of the year...a biggie!
  3. 7-1 Ducks after six innings. Umlandt is at 80 pitches after six innings, so maybe two more innings? He has given up only two hits against Georgetown, while the Oregon offense continues to roll.
  4. 6-1 Ducks after five innings. I am hoping that Oregon's Ian Umlandt can go deep into the game, as he is dealing pretty sweet pitches. Georgetown has an exceptional hitter who caught a pitch and produced a homer off it, but one run at this point for a team that likes to play small-ball is not a good scenario for them. (Provided Umlandt can keep it up!) The Pride of Sherwood sure knows how to create Double-Plays!
  5. 6-1 Ducks after four innings! Nothing happened in the third, as the Georgetown pitcher was great through three innings. But great plate discipline in the fourth by Oregon got two walks and a hit-by-pitch off the Hoya hurler, which loaded the bases for Mason Neville to tie the national home run leader with his 17th dinger of the year. Oh yeah...it was a GRAND SLAM!
  6. 0-0 after two innings. Great to see Umlandt's Duck-Stuff pitches on TV, as he certainly has some action on them! And his pitches create sweet double-plays!
  7. Game summary at the bottom of the thread later! -------------------------------------------------------------- I'll bet we'll see Ian Umlandt on the hill, and I would imagine that if we get a decent lead--we'll see Will Sanford in to work out is "yips" he's been having lately. The Pride of Sherwood, Ian Umlandt.
  8. SIDEARM Integrations GODUCKS.COM The Ducks play at Georgetown on Monday morning at 8 a.m. (PT) on CBS Sports Network
  9. 13-3 Ducks is the final score over Maryland, and not only did the bats get going, but we had some pitchers come through in a B1G way. (Primarily Jason Reitz)
  10. 9-3 Ducks after seven innings! Reitz has handcuffed the Terps, and rescued Oregon today!
  11. 9-3 Ducks after six innings! Oregon's Jason Reitz has pitched the most pitches and innings ever at the D1 level today against Maryland.
  12. And Oregon's Jason Reitz is keeping Maryland at bay...
  13. 8-3 Ducks after five innings...boy, what a B1G inning! A three-run bomb by Mason Neville! And a two-run blast by Jacob Walsh!
  14. 3-3 after four innings...as too much to report for the three runs...
  15. Game summary at the bottom of the thread later.... --------------------------------------------------------- 2-0 Terps after two innings. C'mon, Our Beloved Ducks! Very notable that Will Sanford is not the starting pitcher, but Jason Reitz is for the third game...
  16. Actually it is a quite a list...and yes, Mario always has a "humor" target on him, as does USC, Washington, and of course I cannot ever let up on Beavis!
  17. From an article by Griffin McVeigh of On3: “We’re not going to do that at Miami,” Cristobal said. “And I say that without any hesitation. If anyone is thinking that — They can be the best player in the world. If they wanna play holdout, they might as well play get out. Don’t want to do that, don’t want Miami to become that." Damn right. If anyone is going to mess this team up...it will be ME! Time Out!
  18. Really impressive information from Jon again! So grateful for his incredible research, as I learn so much from his articles.
  19. 12-2 Maryland is the final on a run-rule in the seventh inning. All these pitchers at Oregon, and....
  20. 10-2 Maryland after six innings. Oregon's pitching is getting their butts kicked, and it is a shame....
  21. 4-2 Maryland after five innings. Oregon did not replace Clarke when he was showing shakiness, who then got shelled. Then another pitcher was brought in who I have little confidence in, Ryan Featherston, did contain the damage. Whew! C'mon Ducks...we can still win this game!
  22. 2-2 after four innings. Ducks strand bases-loaded....aaregg! But Colin Clarke suddenly got his pitches back, and went 1-2-3 with Maryland batters.
  23. A second game today will start at approximately 12:30 PST... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-2 after three innings. It is great that our bats are better today, as it is a sunny day there, but Oregon starter Collin Clarke almost melted in the third inning. I would pull him as he does not have his confidence today, IMHO.
